  1. Geez, how much cash did Blue have on hand? I understand keeping some petty cash on hand, but I hope they didn't have much. Most cash businesses do a night bank drop. Wonder if Blue does this as well.

    Ski boot help

If your foot pain goes away when you unbuckle the second buckle, it generally means that the boot is pressing too hard on your instep (you have a higher volume foot). This is my problem. I have heat moldable liners (not fully moldable like intuition). I had them heat molded (instead of just letting them break in) and I had aftermarket footbeds put in. This has solved 99% of my problem. I still keep the second buckles unbuckled when I am on the lift to let my feet relax. A bootfitter can remove some of the stuffing over the instep to create a bit more room for the instep. You can also just keep that buckle unbuckled. By way of background, I went with an inexpensive "custom" footbed--zapz. I really like them, and I am glad that I tried something inexpensive first, rather than just jumping to a $200 custom footbed. The Zapz were $60. I was just reading one of the ski magazines and they actually recommended Zapz as an inexpensive option.

    Ski boot help

If you unbuckle the buckle over your instep, does that help? Just trying to get an idea of your problem.
  4. Bad news--I now have a meeting on Saturday and cannot go to Blue PASR Day. I'm sorry:( I'll be at Gaper Day come hell or high water though!
  5. Yes Think Snow & Wife Toast Atomic Jeff Doug Chippy & Pops Me & Bob Root Oakley21 Mixilplix Melissa Maybe TTC6 JibHonk PASKIINGSUCKS I'll be there (90% sure)--I suck and never got back to you, sorry SK. Maybe we should do an earlier meeting since it gets crowded at Blue? Remember peeps, you can buy discount lift tickets at Buckmans (and probably other ski shops)!
  6. VERY light flurries in Scranton. Kind of depressing. Hopefully it picks up a bit later on, it's so nice to look out the window and see it snowing:)
  7. Was just up for about an hour. Conditions were pretty good, but mixed: soft where the sun was shining but harder in the shade. Fair amount of people out. Ate it hard on lower runway--guess I was going too fast and managed to get ridiculous air off the second headwall, which took me by surprise and I had an epic fall. It must have been amusing, I don't think I've ever aired off that headwall (and, I don't made a habit of airing off of anything). The landing included some sort of face-plant (so hard that when I stopped I checked to make sure that I had all my teeth) and now half my face is scraped up. Awesome. Currently medicating with neosporin with the hopes that my face will be better tomorrow so I don't look like I was in a car accident. It's beautiful out, I had new stuff on my ipod, and I was seriously looking forward to skiing after being out for a week due to my cold--I'm pissed at myself for being so careless. Glad that others enjoyed the day more!
  8. Love the crippling snow! Too funny. Keep the analysis coming!
  9. Sierra Snowboard.com marks down their gear really well, and I know they are having a bunch of sales right now, so you might want to check them out. Free shipping, too!
  10. Good eye, I missed this in the paper this morning. Great news!
  11. Paragraphing makes posts easier to read:)
  12. I'm bumping this thread--apparently the PASR day is Sat. Feb. 21st, which works great for me.
  13. Sat. March 7th or Sun. March 8th? Edit: I checked in a previous thread and the "official" PASR day is Feb. 21st--does that work for everyone?
  14. SK, I'll let you know tomorrow if I am def. in for this (need to check work calendar). Regardless, Buckmans offers discount tickets, so that is always a good option!
  15. Ohhh I'll have to look at my calendar tomorrow at work. I'm pretty sure that we won't be able to get discount lift tickets, but Sno offers a 4 hour lift ticket that is a great deal!
  16. I think I can attend! I'll check my calendar tomorrow at work to make sure I'm a def.
  17. PC, good luck with your travels. Hope yall have fun and get to ski/ride together!
  18. Ah, so sorry to hear about your injury! Feel better!
  19. Think Snow packs a radar gun. Does that count?
  20. I'm certain that I took Long Haul today (Monday). Very few people on the lift though. I actually noticed that the beer distributor was closed today and I was surprised. Please hate on the state gov't though--federal gov't has no control over when PA's liquor/beer stores are open. Innovative thought: Carry-out places including Wegmans were selling beer today. Plan accordingly for the next federal/state holiday.
  21. GO--glad you had such a fabulous time! I was actually up today; I saw a family looking they were having a fun time and wondered if it was you. Track, to answer your questions, the Long Haul was running and the lodge wasn't very crowded--busy, but I have no problem getting a table for lunch.
  22. ... and hang out with PASRs. Whatever, like I said, just throwing out suggestions for people to consider if their schedules don't work in February.
  23. I don't mean for Gaper Day to be in February. I was suggesting whether the PASR day should be the Gaper Day in March, or if there should be two PASR Blue Days, one in Feb and one in March (the Gaper Day). Just throwing out another suggestion if February didn't seem to work for people.
