I can't say for sure, but the two timbered areas are on steep slopes and almost look like a revamping of Mohawk, Delaware, and the terrain park??? c With the condo area further down hill, in the neighborhood of the lower part of the Lehigh trail on a more level area. (Would make more sense than building on the steep slopes). And this is purely a guess! The timber is being hauled to saw mills in the area.

Elk is clearing timber from the East side of the mountain. Last year Elks' owners bought the land they previously leased.. so they now own all of the terrain the resort is built upon. Talked to a friend from Malvern (really) who was headed to Towanda to get his first shot today....

Usually Sundays are not as busy. Same rules apply though, get there early. The largest crowds arrive on mtn by about 10:30 to 11:00...

Normal sales on a Saturday, I'm guessing 1/3 of that. Does a quad with a double on the same pole count? Yes an all day ticket from 8:30 am until 9:00pm can be purchased on Friday and Saturday

Rumor was they sold over 5000 tickets the last two Saturdays....each day!

Traditionally the Presidents week is a holiday for NY schools and lots of families converge on Elk for the week. This week was Busy ..... Next week not so much... Stay away this Saturday or you'll be disappointed...YMMV

Word of Warning.... Elk Has been super crowded on Saturdays....2hr ticket lines, 2hr rental lines, parking lots overflowing, etc...
