Well i have to say- this is quite a fucking disappointment. I wasn't even home when they were doing it- couldn't have watched. I like how the day of the lift they let us know. When they said it was "temporarily postponed", one would assume longer than a day. Fucking rediculous. One thing about blue- they suck at getting word out. Website updates are few and far between, pictures suck. There goes my day..

Werd. i'm pissed too. I think i'll go up today.......they better be workin to sunset.
  3. ...........and money...........and freestyle rap skills.
  4. Haze him some more. Make him ski again- that was humorus. Hmm.....did they use helis to lift out the old towers? I'm almost positive that the cable is welded in one or more spots.
  5. They could just be building it flat, with intentions to bend it later, when they know everything's perfect- even so, that would be a bitch to do. Blue isn't all that great with c boxes, are they. Or maybe it's gonna go like a wallride, like, vertical. Ride up the one let, over the top, and come back down the other le............nah that's just stupid. The bus is going in the park.
  6. what the fuck rob. they'll probably extend the base out to the ticket check, but even so, it won't matter. Remember when the challenge chair got crowded as a mofo? Same story, but there won't be a line- it'll be 3x shorter on busy days

nope, not those, not in that color anyway. I got the 07 ones..........i love them- got them molded new boobs- not 250 bucks anyway. wd40?
  9. Yeah, it was kind of spur of the moment, you know how it goes.

    New boots!

Well, today i took a drive up to nestors. Rule #1- don't go driving to ski shops when you get bored- you'll most likely buy something. So i went in, and i was looking around, with no intentions of buying anything. I started talking to larry, and we got into talking about boots. To make a long story short, i'm getting new salomon FDBs. I'm so stoked, because these boots are super comfy, and super adjustable. So i guess i changed my mind on the whole 32 boots thing. What really bought me was the liners in the 32s- i loved them. Now, salomom, Ride, and k2 (i think) all use intuition liners too!. Fucking awesome boots, and they're a lot lower profile than my 32 lasheds. EDIT: i guess salomon doesn't use intuition liners.... oh well
  11. I took me a little drive up to blue today. In the lower parking lot they had the ........the whatchamacallits that go on top of the lift towers- there were like 12, or was it 15, of them. The bottom lodge is looking pretty spiffy (from the outside, of course) so far. Wandered up to the top lot and i looked into the windows. The new carpet is pretty steezy. While leaving the lot, i noticed the bullwheel/top lift assembly was sitting on a trailer. Now, if we could only find out when them helicopters is coming.
  12. i'd rather sound like an idiot than be an haha
  13. Oh, cool. IS it your junkyard, or one you know of? Directions? And what about your prices for the materials you bought? (talking about steel) Stainless is slow, so i've heard- on vert ramps and half pipes for skateboarding- i'd imagine the same, but as 1260 said, it's expensive. Plus, you need stainless steel electrodes/welding wire, which are also more expensive. And if you're mig welding it, i think you need to use argon for shielding gas , compared to the argon/CO2 mixture. As for galvanized- i think it would work, BUT- the only thing is safety wise. WHen you start welding/grinding that shit, the fumes are really really bad for you. Just use super caution if you do use galvanized. keep us posted!
  14. Poconos pass?

    Looking for..

If you want to.....krylon fusion. I don't think it'll weaken the helmet, seeing as it's made specifically for plastic.
  16. I think a 16 foot flat down is too short, in all honesty. I would make the down part 16 feet and then have the flat at 6 or 8. .....but whatever works for you. Are you welding these yourself? Oh yeah, and be sure to get us pics. Oh yeah, and what about pricing/ steel sources?
  17. Work, otherwise i would.
  18. nope, you're not wrong
  19. I don't ski, but i'm going to it. Sunday would be better if you want more attendance, seeing as it's the weekend and all. but doesn't matter- i'll go. And pricing?
  20. If anyone got the newsletter a little bit ago, they had some pictures.......like 50x50, but pictures. Oh yeah, and after all of this, they're gonna keep the same shitty building?
  21. Please give us at least this.... Make it hard to get into the park. some sort of fence system. This way, they will see the fence, on which you can plaster very very blunt warnings....tell it how it is
  22. Is that where it broke down? as compared to.....? Yeah, i didn't feel like coming. IF i remembered about the real snow, i would have probably come......but shit. I'll catch the next one.
  23. Werd
  24. It doesn't seem like alot, but when you start the work, you realize how time consuming it is. Myth It's too far, and not enough vert for me. Though i will be up there...... No, JFBB is just doing this to show their park muscles. They have had fucking awesome setups in the past, and now they're just stepping it up a little more. I'm sure that whoever was helping them make the rails has learned alot, and i'm sure that creek will have a pipe. WHo knows, maybe they'll hire this dude back, a kind of pat melandowski thing.......
  25. Dude, steve.. you have no idea how much i want that car. I'll trade you my 95 jetta automatic 2 liter for it!! haha, didn't think so. I may know someone who's interested seriously though- next time i see them, i'll ask
