At least you had / still have a season. My shit was done ages ago
  2. Is it? Let’s say the skillz or even greek peak had an edgeable winter surface of some sort and blue had sugar, pack the car because I’m driving far from the sugar Sugar is very common to blue. I didn’t ski it too often, or if at all in hundreds of days logged at JFBB. @JFskiDan would you agree with that assessment? Ivan never skied it at elk…maybe a day or 2 at Shawnee or CB but sugar is kind of a blue mountain special
  3. Was gonna say. Mashed potatoes are a different ball of wax all together…in a good way of course. Sugar just sucks. My least favorite condition to ski on.
  4. Thanks man. Wish I could be skiing. Decided to test 3 or 4 days into feeling shitty last week and of course…positive. Not sure how tf that happened, especially since the kids never got it. Either way…feel 100% now, did yesterday too for the most part, fever free all that good stuff. Last week though I was kicking myself for not getting the last booster cause it beat my ass hard one of those days.
  5. I’m not at all surprised. Doug can be a svelte ninja on skis when he wants to be. I’ve witnessed it a few times this season alone.
  6. I still feel like shit. 100% out tomorrow. Hoping sun / mon
  7. Oh The blizzard will happen; but it'll be in late April when everything is closed
  8. Never forget that time we all had your back at jack frost when he want to fight you. Xoxoxo
  9. I’m back to work today. Plus still feeling a bit crappy. See you Saturday
  10. I appreciate your optimism Dime. I really do. But this is what next week looks like as of now. They’ll have a few hours each day to refresh what’s already open. If that
  11. More clouds and milder temps thru Saturday at least. Is this what Seattle is like?
  12. Go! RT flights to phoenix can be had for less than 3 hundy currently.
  13. Yeah. So much of their terrain is contingent on natural snow. Snowmaking in general is brand new for them (10 years maybe?). The local native tribes fought it as they believe the mountain is sacred and didn't want reclaimed water being used (the only way. It's Arizona at the end of the day). Ultimately they lost in court and snowbeezy was granted snowmaking. Not for anything but the mountain is sacred to me also and I'm totally ok with it Lol.
  14. Yes but she's wants to go to grad school so not really.
  15. Was supposed to be in flagstaff next week but I moved it
  16. there’s literally nothing more depressing than thick fog, warm temps, brown snow WRODs and evaporating snow on our mountain the week after Christmas. Add in the literal heaps of trash, litter and beer cans under the lift for a stark reminder that we’re officially in the bizarro world of skiing. At least when the skiings good I’m less annoyed by the filth under the lift. Speaking of, @Bluemountain…I know you look at PASR. Do something about that shit. My township dump is cleaner than Blue and that’s not even an exaggeration. It’s embarrassing and your stupid giant trash cans only make it worse. If you’re gonna have those eye sores out at least send someone out daily to clean up after the jackasses that have no aim, along with the trail of trash leading up to the cans, which btw simply proves that the giant trash cans don’t work. Put goddamn signs out that say “if you’re caught littering you lose your pass”…and enforce that. That would be better I think than having your patrollers playing laser tag with really good skiers that are fully in control. apologies for the rant. Feel like crap, and this weather is depressing.
  17. Game time decision and I'm out. Feel like crap. Tomorrow if I feel normal (and the rain holds)
  18. Dudes are always responsible for trash and bug removal. It’s just how it is
  19. Santa gave us an early present with consistent fast, grippy snow throughout the mountain and smaller crowds today. Today was really good. Fast and grippy snow + less people was a recipe for putting the hammer down, especially early on. In the house today we're Jeff, Dan, Mute, justo, boo, salty, Ben, pops, enjo, mixel, nmski, schif, Nancy and many more. Everything skied well today and was less divoty, paradise was surprisingly good and, coverage wise, after the second turn looked like end to end. coming soon was light years better than yesterday. Lazy was decent but the star of the show again was vista-mid-main. Oh and Shout out to whoever decided to put "rise and grind"...the excellent coffee shoppe down in the lower lodge. They serve up a top notch latte. Merry Christmas all!
