Switchback was the best I've skied it all season.. Wahaahooey! I thought I just heard avy control bombs in the distance until I realized it was someone's car backfiring in the parking lot. Oh lordy.
-
Razors Couloir is not open unfortunately so I took the NMDW hobacks for about 900 vert of mashed potatoey, snow cone goodness. Back to the tram to head over to Switchback amphitheater....

Hey all Coming to you live from the tram (aka quad) of a resort not located in Wyoming and not called Jackson Hole. This thread will not contain epic photos like the Jackson Hole thread and I did not eat a bagel and steeze. I did not ride a bus filled with French tourists either. Conditions here are not terrible. The crowds are not crazy and the weather is not uncomfortable. I'm not not having a good time.

All day whirlys?? He must've been a level 3!

The food and ambiance at Charlotte are A+ I like SLC because it's small and has killer views. I don't think I've ever eaten there.
-
Both airports suck IMO. Minneapolis and SLC are where it's at for airports.

Won't be easy. Falcons are a great team, but i sure as hell hope you're right!

Just got home from a sweet evening session. Foggy but visibility wasn't too terrible. It kept the crowds away. Snow was great. Straight spring skiing. Good for getting the legs ready for UT. NMDW was it's usual goodness complete with bumps down the left side after the first turn. We found ourselves spending a lot of time there. Challenge was decent as was switchback, sidewinder etc. Saw an epic yard sale on challenge. Poor guy lost his board on the upper part of the headwall up top. The board bee-lined down the middle of the trail to the bottom of the mountain. He was sliding right behind it and ended up losing his boots, gloves etc along the way. He was ok. Just in over his head on the mighty challenge. Anyway a ton of fun this evening at Blue to the MT. -

It's funny I didn't even think to go to Sidewinder until I saw your post on the lift. I always just avoid it assuming that it's covered in terrain park features. It definitely was ROTD. So rare to ski it as a straight trail.
-
Haven't skied sidewinder yet. Will do now. Too busy drooling over NMDW
-
It was earlier. People are leaving now thankfully. Last 2 lift rides were solo.

Good snow. Crowds dissipating. Fun day.

Well I had one day at BB. I figure 10 days at Blue. $500 for the pass breaks out to $50. Isn't that the magic number? -

Same. Also yesterday was my 11th day overall. Three more days than all of last season! -
I'm not opposed to a faux village. Once it's built doesn't it then become real? A faux village to me are the ceramic houses that I put under the tree at Christmas with the tiny little people and cars. The one's that my kids like to break.

They have Kickapoo which is fun but Blue has a few of these. Mohawk and Iroquois are nice steep runs, but nothing crazier than the challenge and razors headwalls. edit...sorry TNT. didn't mean to threadjack with Blue stuff. haha
