Side note. The amount of snow that blue has compared to mountain Creek is nuts

Nice post and thanks. Some of those abandoned trails make sense now. There really is a lot of potential there. Those rock face areas on granite looked pretty insane

That makes a ton of sense re: the cab and so much terrain in between granite and South. Good to see that there's a plan. I saw what appeared to be able abondoned trail off of granite coming down, skiers left almost going towards South peak area. I assumed it was a natural snow trail but there were pipes running along the side, weird thing was it's not on the map. Tbh If they follow through with that map the place could be a beast for this area. Not to mention, there is some really steep rock face on granite. That area could actually be legit steep.

Good article here. Base plus is officially gone. https://www.skimag.com/news/ikon-pass-2025-26-details/

As well they should.

Indeed it does.

We out. Hella fun spring ski day. Beautiful weather and fun trying someplace new. MC is worth the trip if you've never been. Never got to South unfortunately (mostly terrain park pic below) but perhaps next time. The cabriolet makes no sense to me. Why stand and take off your skis when you can sit and keep your skis on? Its not like a gondola that carries more people and protects you from the elements. Probably my only gripe. Cool place and fun ski day for sure.

Actually ended up back at Vernon for a few not then back to granite. The sojourn trail (which takes you to South and bear was supposed to open at noon according to a guy I rode the cabriolet with. Now a liftie is telling me it won't open and if I want to ski over there I need to drive. That's not happening so it looks like I'm staying on Vernon and granite unless sojourn opens. Side note... There are litter and lose pass signs everywhere. You can do it blue!

Some steeper pitches here and there. Definitely thin cover in places. Don't see this place surviving too long after this week. Good terrain and they definitely make the most out of almost 1100 vert. Just funny to me how 40 something trails can be so spread out. So much mountain that is untouched in between. Riding granite now as I don't feel like getting on the cabriolet. Heading to South and bear next

Have the day off today, wanted to ski but I felt like going someplace different / new. Caveat I wasn't feeling driving 3+ hours. So 104 minutes later here I am riding the cabriolet lift at Mountain Creek. First time here and New Jersey marks the 9th different state that I've skied in. My first impressions....it's pretty spread out. And the drive was mostly back roads which I was surprised by, the cabriolet is pointless and stupid and the base music is trash. Conditions are standard spring mashed potatoes. Definitely fun. Only skied great northern so far so more to come as I explore the place. Negatives aside so far a beautiful spring skiing day at a new place!

Sounds like a repeat of yesterday. Unfortunately I overslept. Woke up at 8:45 which is unheard of.

Just got back. Beautiful weather and lots of sun. Snow conditions went from hero to zero really fast however. First run on razors was $$. The next run on side was silky smooth, maybe the best side run all season for me. Shortly after however the sugar harvest was in full effect. Thin spots starting to rear their ugly head too, one on side and another on switch. That said fun day

I got you @GrilledSteezeSandwich Hey all…who’s gonna touch the sky at blue mountain this weekend. Bring your sunblock because both Saturday and Sunday look pretty sunny. A little birdie told me that they made snow to freshen things up and conditions have been pretty nice this week so it seems like we may have a few nice days in store this weekend. Get your winter like days in now because the temperatures will rise like the phoenix next week. Speaking of birds perhaps Blue’s resident bald eagles will be out enjoying the sun. I’ll definitely be there Saturday. Sunday is tbd and Monday I’m skiing somewhere (maybe blue maybe somewhere else…not sure yet).
-
A foot over the last 3 days and 21 inches forecasted over the next 2 days. If MLB spring training didn’t turn Arizona into an absolute shitshow I’d probably be there.

Right. Which sorta has me thinking that base plus is gone. From what I can see (as of now) it appears that if you want JH or Aspen you need the full.
-
You have no choice to think about next year with all of the early pass stuff. Likely passing on icon. Especially if there's no base plus. If I go to Jackson I'll look for tix direct from them
-
Correct but will the base plus be an option? All I see them advertising for 25/26 on the site (unless I’m missing something) is the regular, the base and 4 pack.
-
Is the base plus icon pass gone?
-
I may take off Monday and go someplace...before the 60s and 70s hit
-
Next week is indeed the week for RAW sessions. Could be pretty magical especially with the later sunset. Idk...I saw that 70 something and it definitely freaked me out

I believe she needs a separate account with her own email address. Then you would just transfer it from your account to her account. From there she should be able to redeem it. That said that process was glitchy up until like January. Not sure if they fixed it or not
-
For $250 I would have done that too then

You drove from steamboat back to Denver?
