  1. Give them a call. Their website isn't the most user friendly.
  2. Pharoah and cliff hanger are fun. Everything else is meh. From a strictly trail skiing perspective, Elk and blue destroy CB. Hell even montage. I'd rather ski the north face all day long (not even touch the upper mountain) over Camelback. Paradise at Blue is better cruiser than Nile. CBs "front four" are flat after the first head wall. Definitely no razors, challenge or main street. CB is over rated. C back is a glorified Shawnee.
  3. Glad to enjoy a few beers with you guys afterwards.
  4. Holy shit. Absolutely awesome conditions here. I skied blue MLK night 2 years ago and it was icy hell. Tonight is amazing. Soft man made pretty much everywhere. The bumps on nightmare are skiing great. Not much in the way of crowds. Great night of skiing for sure
  5. On my way to blue now. Hopefully the snow is still nice
  6. Would love to but will be at Gore next Saturday.
  7. Shawnee is cool. A little funner than boulder but out of Blue's / montage league. I'm def down for a pasr day there.
  8. I think people stopped saying "got some action" after Poison stopped being cool.

Hmmm. It's my only chance to ski until like next Wednesday so I might have to put up with the crowds. Maybe head up after 7 or so.

I was thinking about blue Friday night. Is it gonna be a shit show?
  11. CNN has apparently skied every run in the entire world and compiled a list. Unless your name is Johnny Law I didn't think that was possible. ;-) http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/13/travel/worlds-best-ski-runs/index.html?c=&page=0
  12. One might say that you're an expert at detecting dorks too.
  13. Thank you. I got tired of looking after one page.
  14. No, it'll never be as busy as Blue. The east mountain chair is your best bet. You'll definitely find lines everywhere else on the mountain but nothing as crazy as Blue. Stick to the east chair and the quad.
  15. Haha. Not sure you'd want that, that is unless I can get the hookup the wax you and Jeff are using.
  16. I heart nastar. In the spirit of the upcoming winter games, I thought I'd embellish that a little. Lol. But seriously they better send me my pin.
  17. The lodge is really nice. More importantly the bathrooms are as well. It looks like they got their customer service counter from a Ritz Carlton and the food is great. Plus the statue of the skier rocking a wedgie (when you pull in) is fantastic. Seriously go spend some $$ at the new montage. It's obvious that the new owners care and put a lot into the place.
  18. If you really want her to learn get her a private lesson.
  19. You and tiny moose should have "competed" with them. Lol
  20. Just took home a bronze in NASTAR. It was my 3rd and final try. The odds were stacked against me. The heart was racing, the adrenaline was flowing. After coming less than a second short the last two runs, I began my journey into the unknown. It was all a blur until I got to the finish line. I stopped, looked up and waited patiently for my time. Then I heard those magical words... "42.3 seconds. A 48 handicap... Good enough for a bronze medal!" now I will wait patiently for it to arrive in the mail since they ran out of bronze pins lol.
  21. Enjoying a classy Johnny rockets lunch in the lodge right now with mini Ridge Racer but arrived at 11 am to virtually no crowds and slopeside parking. Met with Dan the man and schif (nice to meet you today) by the lodge. Took a run on the upper mountain then spent the last two hours on the north face. The new and improved montage held up well after yesterday's rain. Most areas are decent but white lightning is the absolute shit. Snowy, Big ass bumps. A ton of fun and worth the trip up here alone.
  22. This is how you keep your customers updated. JFBB should take queues from MRG's front page... While the latest forecasts are a bit sketchy to say the least it would appear that we might be seeing a glimmer of light at the end of our proverbial weather tunnel. It seems as though that this tunnel has been about as long as Andy Dufresne's tunnel to freedom in the Shawshank Redemeption. You know that one that he "crawled through a river of $h!* and came out clean on the other side". Hopefully we will emerge from this latest stretch of weather smelling like a rose too. The latest weather forecasts from the Single Chair Weather Blog isn't pretty in the short term but he says; "In spite of what will happen over the next 4-5 days I like how the back end of January looks." Lets really hope that Josh Fox is right this time so we can enjoy the balance of the winter as much as Andy and Red enjoyed their lives in Zihuatanejo. We certainly hope to re-open the main mountain just as soon as we possibly can. We know the current state of affairs is a bummer but please don't lose heart MRG skiers. Rest assured it will snow again, we will have powder days and we'll all be ripping up our legendary terrain soon enough. Thanks for your patience and, now more than ever,
