  1. i wasnt gonna post in here but i have a question about park passes. this was probably already disscused in another thread but whatever. terrain parks are made for a reason, to use the features in the parks, rails, boxes, jumps, pipes etc. etc. theyre not there for their steep terrain. what would it cost the mountain to institute a park pass? and what kind of profit would they get from charging for it?
  2. heres a graph if you didnt see this... http://www40.statcan.ca/l01/cst01/econ07.htm
  3. exchange is like 83cents on the dollar
  4. whistler. my sis just got back from tremblant, it wasnt to0 good she said, but what does she know. whistler has more terrain. although im not sure how much of it is opened. i would just go to whistler
  5. your bindings wouldnt happen to be salomons would they?
  6. for real, if they were worried about saftey theyd put more fences up along the sides of the trails.
  7. so, we dont spend money on food/services...what else is there? i think you just said pass holders dont have any real value...if you didnt, then what value do we have? at least thats how i understood it they could definately show that better
  8. i am soon but it wont do anything for me you dont have much room to talk either
  9. well, heres another factor. kids have half days most of the week.
  10. so they closed because of ice? big deal, its the poconos, thats all we have.
  11. thats the best setup ive seen on a rainbow rail. i like the ollie on. for skiers anyway
  12. i hope its not the rainbow rail in your icon
  13. i just realized that this freeride program may be the reason they stepped up their park. i dont know how i missed that.
  14. ok well, i guess this is kind of complicated but ill ask anyway.. when youre on edge, you accerlerate. so you do infact accerlerate through a turn. (or so im told) has anyone done a study on this? the ratio of accerleration:resistance? or something like that. going straight down a hill flat on your bases with like a 10mph headwind going 45mph. then compare that to you making a (however many degree) turn on you edges with a 10mph headwind. basically... how much does being on your edges accelerate you? i guess it all depends on the angle and all, but in general?
  15. i dont know much about racing, but when i watch it on tv, sometimes positions are seperated by .01 seconds. so...does hittin the gates effect your time (like slow your momentum down) and if it does, would taking the turn that tight as to hit the gate make up for actually hitting it, as opposed to taking a wider turn and not hitting the gate?
  16. its just cause youre used to skiing cb. montage is a great mtn but when you compare it to how cb is currently doing its easy to see how you feel.

i got to say something about this, sorry to poch your thread. booter mountain and free ski check anyone?
  18. i dont really see the objective with this thread, but since its about ranges and cb heres a heads up. the light posts. dont ski above them, they will mark your ticket/season pass. if you ski below them, even if you hit them but are on the bottom side of them, its fine. the second you go above them, they get so pissed. whats the difference?
  19. i will if all else fails, i dont want to pay any stupid fees.
  20. soooo, no one wants to buy anything?
  21. nobody wants this stuff?! c'mon, i need to pay for my ipod boots = 40 or so jacket = 35 or so. plus shipping mmmmm black 60 gig ipod help me achieve my dream
  22. terrain park, no doubt, mammoth powder, cant beat montana/idaho and utah powder, best in the US. familiy friendly/great value would be summit county in CO (vail/breck/a-basin/aspen/copper etc) amazing terrain? depends on what you mean. powder/glades, or just sheer drop offs and crazy steep chutes? timberline for chutes. thats about all i got.
  23. haha figured they read this and it was a bad idea. lock/delete?
