have you ever been there? looks decent to me. 1500 vert? thats more than anything in PA. it looks like the mountain on the left is newer and a good place for expansion and it already has "two of the most challenging trails in the east". haha.
mine is 100% homemade. its kinda sketchy but it works. i need a power washer to make it more legit but it works okay with just an air compressor. if i had money i would buy one but college will prevent you from having any extra cash..
it cost a little around $3000 for the roll of carpet and shipping. and it is pretty sweet. it slides pretty nice once it is wet down and is great for all the summer rail sessions that we had. he doesnt have sand-filled though... at least i dont think so
Boyer told me its going to be ont he middle jump, which is the second one i'm guessing, the same as last year. he said that they are going to try to make it longer than it is now. I could go across the room and ask him but i'm too lazy. when i get my ass up and find out what they are doing for sure i will let somebody know.
they are blowing in the park right now. today when i was up i checked it out and everything is gone, and everything is flattened. its good that they are going to use the crappy ice/snow that they had as the base and are blowign a ton of new snow ontop of it... 4 more days until it's open!
but its a good way to fine tune your skills and improve. its not for everybody, but if you like it, then do it. if you dont like it, then dont. i think this topic has been discussed too many times lately and its getting repetitive...
i hope there is no table top. that just encourages kids to roll right over the lip. at least with the booters if they try something stupid like they they will fall 6 feet to a flat landing. then they never do it again. thats the whole reason why the park crue is building jumps like that... so they dont get wrecked as easily like the ones from last year
i was hating 100% on the coaches. some of the coaches at Blue need to have respect for other people on the mountain and not think that it is only theirs and they can do waht they want. talking behind people's backs and telling your kids to go mess up the park on purpose is a little immature, arrogant, and rediculous in my opinion... and i think its time for them to grow up and realize that the race team is not the only thing going on at Blue anymore.
can we try to keep on topic here and talk about Freeriders instead of who hates who? thanks.
YAY FOR FREERIDERS! The kids are learning quickly. its awesome
its the first year for the program.. so there obviously arent products YET. why does everybody compare it to the success of the race program? i highly doubt that they started with 70 kids.
