  1. thanks.... i was there tonight. haha. a little late
  2. i hear ya... thats why i'm just going up by myself in the AM and when other people feel like getting there they can just meet me.
  3. i say we just keep working on the park in your backyard Chris and keep it to a minimum... could you imagine how packed that place could get if it actually went down? anyway.. packed or not, i would be there because that would be crazy... and any help you need with that Chris... just ask. i support backyard parks. hell, i'll buy a season pass to your backyard.
  4. i think i'm going up first thing tomorrow morning... i dont care if its firm.. at least i will be able to ski in peace for a bit.
  5. actually... people shouldnt be sitting on their asses in the entrance to the park to begin with. that is the part that is "against the rules".... not CALLING your drop in.
  6. now you know how i feel every night. thank god i went to Boulder tonight for the comp where you have the entire park to yourself... ah. i loved it.
  7. how would you implement a "park-only" pass if the lifts have access to the whol mountain? you would have to have a ticket check at the top of every slope.
  8. wouldnt common sense tell people not to do that shit? of course. but they still do. now for the people that do have common sense when it comes to riding the park... they shouldnt have to suffer because people are getting in their way on the features. i understand that there is the same problem on other trails... why do you think the racers close off the trail to practice? so idiots dont get in their way. i dont see people complaining as much about them. while they are practicing over on razors edge i want to practice in the park... and why cant i have ideal conditions like they do? there are so many different points that you can make. making one trail out of 30 a pass only trail shouldnt affect anything. there is no reason to use sidewinder as a trail to carve down since there are 30 others accross the mountain. and if people want to use the park THAT bad... then they can use the lower park to ride over the lips of jumps and rails and sit on the landings there. but for people who care an actually want to progress in the freestlye area, there shouldnt be uncontrollable idiots that hold them back.
  9. what is the set-up going to be like tonight for the z-games??? anybody know?
  10. nah i'm not like Doug Blue is crowded enough... im gonna start sending people to CB
  11. i agree with that.... but who would make that decision? ski patrol? HA. i saw ski patrol ride down of the middle of the stairs. they ahve no idea whats going on in the park. if that duty were given to the park crue.. that would be a different story.
  12. i thought Blue was great today.... from like 11-4 when it was softening up it was perfect. after that though it started to get a little more solid. the park was still really good though.
  13. parents are over-rated sometimes. live a little.
  14. thats actually a very good point.
  15. scratch the idea of skiing boulder.... they charge 25 bones for night skiing and dont give a student discount... thats lame... screw Boulder and the "z-games"
  16. i want some good reasons on why people DONT want park passes... hopefully nobody thinks that way though.
  17. what about ski club nights? c'mon now. sometimes i would rather ski the park on a saturday afternoon rather than a weeknight because those kids think that it would be so cool jsut to ride through the park... and they do it without any thought process at all, and just do whatever the hell they want.
  18. i actually think i might be going to Boulder for the z-games.... not sure though... if not... i'll be at Blue sometime after my microbiology lab ends at 2:15..
  19. some places do it already... whatever it takes to get people out of the park...
  20. oh it was a lovely experience... at least it didnt hurt. and my mom cleaned my pants and jacket from the rust that was rubbed into it... i'll just have to pick them up on my way to the mountain tomorrow...
  21. charging people money for a pass isnt going to alleviate the problems in the park. making them watch a video that teaches them how to behave in the park might have a greater effect. i know if i was a rich bitch that came from the city with my family they would pay $5 for me to ski in the park even if i had no idea what was going on. its not the money that will prevent the crap that goes on in the park... its the informational video. yeah i had a word or two with him...
  22. 90% of the people in there dont know the rules
  23. many places that have park passes require somebody to sit through a 15 min video and learn park etiquette and there is no fee for the pass. this gets rid of the people that only come on weekends from Jersey and shouldnt be in the park. for people who want to ski the park and dont want to sit through the video... thats what the lower park is for. the whole reason behind the park pass is to keep the park safe from people who dont belong in there. i probably hurt some guy today when i landed on him because he was an asshole and skis behind the lip and then onto the landing while i'm spinning. i'm glad it happened to him. maybe now he wont ski in the park. either people can learn the hard way... or there can be park passes implemented to keep people who dont belong, out.
  24. gap on should be preferable for anybody that uses the park. ride on stuff just isnt challenging. a lot of people can just ride right onto a rail and 50/50 it. id like to see them try to jump 6 feet onto one. hahaha
