  1. Doug, a 50/50 is what you do....
  2. yeah the rain is going to kill it. crap. didnt think about that. oh well, i'll still be there.
  3. actually. Pohachek called his drop as well. i was standing next to him. just because you were going faster doesnt mean you have the right of way. yeah maybe you called your drop, but i didnt hear and it neither did he. next time make sure there isnt anybody there. sometimes you cant hear people call their drop if they are that far behind you... how would you like it if somebody came from nowhere and cut you off? just make sure there isnt anybody there if you are going to do that
  4. 1) downkink railbox nice lip... have to ollie about one foot up... lip does most of the work for you 2a) 15ft jump... decent lip and okay landing when ski clubs arent there 2b) 25ft jump... perfect lip... decent landing when there arent people standing on it with snowblades 3) 20ft up-flat rail... set-up well with about 1 foot gap onto it.. smooth as hell. steep landing 4) 45ft battleship box... ride-on style (unfotunately) 5) c-rail... gap on... always kinda sketchy so i dont know what else to tell you 6) 45ft booter... good lip, need plenty of speed, landing could be steeper but still good. 7) wall ride 8) 20ft flat-down-flat rail... 2-3 foot gap onto it... smooth and tons of fun 9) 25ft flat-down box... 3 foot gap, nice lip, nice box 10a) 35ft jump... nice lip, good landing 10b) 55ft booter... perfect lip, perfect landing when there arent piles of slush at the bottom. carry a shitlad of speed into it 11) hip 12a) handrail on staircase 12b) boxrail on staircase lower park or pipe... ***pipe*** was really good tonight.. might look sketchy from the top but the walls are decent and it was nice and soft ***lower park*** 1a) 15ft jump... landing usually rutted out because its the beginner park 1b) 30ft jump... nice lip, short but good landing, carry speed and dont stop at the top of the park 2) 15ft mini battleship box... fun to play around on 3) mailbox... sitting on kind of a 1/4 pipe, also fun to play on 4a) 25ft flat down box... really wide and fun 4b) flat box... ride-on of course, just like the rest of the lower park everything is kinda slushy.. still fun to cruise through the park though. i'll be up tomorrow afternoon when my lab is done for a bit i think... depending on whats going on at school. maybe i'll see you in the park
  5. unfortunately there isnt much that is going to happen with any of that this season.. you just gotta deal with the people in it and the way that its set-up. its a new world compared to the park from last year although its getting kinda beat with this weather.
  6. they wont replace them. the topsheet desnt have much of an effect on the way they aki anyway. this year they made the topsheet out of ptex (or something like that) so that it wont be able to delaminate from smacking down on jumps. you can just fix the scratches.
  7. i'll be up there at 7:30... maybe later depending on the night before....
  8. there are about 6 kids ages 9-15 and 3 instructors... and a bunch of other twintippers usually pal around too.
  9. she wasnt hot though so it wasnt worth it....
  10. i'll be there at 7:30 as well by myself until i meet up with the Freeiders at 9
  11. i met a girl from Rutgers at Blue on the lift monday and it seemed that whenever i would go down a trail i would see a random ski and then 40 yards away she would be laying on her back... probably pretty embarassing...
  12. how is Bear actually looking rihgt now in the park? i kinda want to head over one day soon to check it out again.
  13. a rail jam is the only thing you would be able to pull off
  14. i agree... they ahve their place in the summer games... i dont see skiers in the summer games so i dont want to see dirtbikes in the winter games

    Park Poll

frost is going to be craaaaaaazy
  16. homedepot has it for like $0.39 for a square foot... or something like that.... you could spend $40 and get enough for a decent set-up
  17. it was originally 60ft.... now i think its about 55
  18. i'll probably be there after my clinical is over at 3:30... its probably going to be crap tomorrow night and icy... but i'll probably still go.
  19. yeah today was really good... too bad you couldnt have seen the park before the rain and warm weather because it was even better then.. hopefully they make some new additions to the park this week because its starting to get old after skiing it for 50 days....
  20. yeah... there were some spots coming through yesterday that looked sketchy... after the rain i dont now how its going to be... i'll have to check it out when i get up there in a few minutes
  21. you wouldn't you freak. when is the next time you are going to Blue?
  22. if Blue has anything... they need to put it out because the park is getting old. sidewinder needs a complete makover with stuff moved around and some new stuff added. it would be nice if some of the older rails that they have sitting at the top would be put in too.
  23. one... i got that snow with my mom's minivan and a bunch of garbage cans filled with snow. here is the snowcarpet that Skier150 has setup at his house... its pretty sick but i prefer real snow.
  24. snowcarpet is over-rated... just use some old scraps of carpet or go get some cheap carpet from Home Depot and then on the way back home stop at your local icerink and steal the zamboni shavings.... last summer we had multiple rail sessions like that.
  25. he actually was once on the race team but switched to Freeriders this year. sometimes skiing fast isnt the best thing to do when you are trying new tricks instead of straigh-airing the jumps.....
