Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:15am and in the house were PARidge, JFDan, Atomic Jeff, Mute, BenM, Ryan, Boo Bear, Becky Boo, Nancy, Schifdawg, MBike Mike, Nastar Glenn, Bethlehem Ford Crew, Dirtwolf, VTMark, TP4 and many others. It was in the low 20s under overcast sky’s and they were blowing snow on Coming soon, Paradise, Nightmare-Dreamweaver, Skytop, Tuts Lane, Lazy Mile, Main Street, Burma and some other runs not noted. It was an all out snowmaking assault operation Blizzard 2.0 in full affect. Second civilian OG six pack and first run on Challenge which was alright..consistent hardpack snow but a little rolly Polly, the random gun after the falls was blowing out decent snow. Next run on switchback was very pleasant until the Main Street merge which had guns blasting followed by a slick spot and just kind of messy. Coming soon had the best snow on the hill and you could avoid the snowguns by staying right..lower paradise had guns blasting and various whoop Dee doos and root rollers..right side better than left. I repeated Switchback and it got much rougher with deep sugar, coming soon stayed good and the top head wall of challenge showed exposed boilerplate, middle section was good and a big death cookie after the falls would have sent me ass over teakettle if I wasn’t such an agile mofo. My foot was bugging me on lift rides a little but on the ski runs not bad. Fun parking lot with beer, chips, cheeseballs(both human and food), beef sticks and Girl Scout cookies. Was a cold lot and after a few minutes I needed my gloves. All in all a tiny bit better than expected but expectations were low. I think tomorrow AM will be decent once they groom In all the new manmade snow. JADIP

I’ve taught boomers how to screenshot on iphones. Some of my customers are completely lost just finding a picture on their phone..so they hand me their phone and if it’s not an iPhone I’m as lost as them.

It’s up to Mother Nature to determine that. With the way the weather has been, I’m happy with what Blue has done but I’d hate for them to close before camelback and have to slum it there.

4+ out of 10. I wouldn’t call the conditions today great but it was pleasant enough. Eaf me and atomic Jeff saw you when we were stuck on the new lift. I guess you still park up top..must be a jersey thing.

Hey All, Its almost another weekend, is anybody skiing Blue mountain this weekend? Tomorrow looks cold as has been the case the last few saturdays and Sunday looks a bit milder. The snowmakers are planning on blowing snow tonight…I plan on skiing both days. JADIP

Riding the left you can see the base is about two inches on lower Main Street. Atomic Jeff suggested they just close it tomorrow for snowmaking and I said that’s not gonna happen.

Time to book your trip or if not hit up whiteface, looks epic up there.

Hey All, I’m back from another morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 825am and it was 40 degrees with 20-30mph winds. In the house were Atomic AJeff, ZZSlope, BethlehemFord crew, Rodney, Oz and a bunch of boomers. I was able to get my bad foot in my foot ok and pain was a 2.5 out of 10. Aside from walking a little slow, the skiing seemed the same except for less angulation which is something that wasn’t needed much with todays snow. Started on the new summit safari six pack and it stopped for a solid 6-7 minutes about 1/3 of the way up. Began on Lazy mile which was firm and smooth with a lot of leaves. Was going to go to the quad but that was stopped so back to the new six pack again and skied Widowmaker to midway to lower Main Street. Widowmaker had one very bare section and lower Main Street is a giant skeet spot. Midway skied well for about 7 seconds. Up the quad and rode with ZZSlope, went down coming soon which was firm and semi choppy, lower paradise was good on the left and bad on the right. Then down challenge which was ok, pretty slick at the top and softer lower down. Paradise was decent but the wind made things slow and switchback had the whitest snow on the hill and least about of bare areas. All in all I’d rate the conditions a 4+, not quite a 5. Snowmaking tonight is very much needed… was rocking out to this song
