It’s not on google earth. I think 935 feet from the top of the highest great at the summit to the bottom of the snowmaking pond
-
Funny you brought up the animal Elk. When I think of Elk I think of Vermont which brings back memories of hairy armpit hippie chicks in college. Aye Caramba
-
Elk taste really good.
-
I saw an elk run down the middle of the street in Jackson hole it was huge and then jumped over a 6 foot high fence.
-
Oh sweet I knew you were trying to get that job...that’s badass
-
I honestly never remember how his name is spelled. I’ll introduce you to him opening day.
-
Somebody tell Jim Daly to schedule an appointment to get the lifts inspected.
-
I can’t wait till blue mentions all their improvements so we can stop talking about elk.
-
Dude. It's happening. Are you coming or not? I'll take a day off for this. I have no interest in Elk...I don’t want to drive 100 miles vs 20 miles for shorter runs and lifts that run at half speed...and buy a ticket. I do appreciate all the enthusiasm for a ski day in 3.5 months.
-
It’s never gonna happen. The reason for talk of Xmas week is because a lot of PASRs have off work.
-
That’s Dazzling Dennis an Allentown legend!!!!
-
I was there multiple years before stairway to heaven. Once in college opening you got transported to the bottom of rime in the back of a pickup truck. Only one stairway to heaven year which was in 2010

I’ve written a 6 paragraph long Jackson hole report on the 9.5 minute tram ride on my iPhone.
-
I’m still waiting for pricing on the vista club residences.

I do like your reports...even if they’re sometimes like a month late.
-
Yeah they both get $5 a week..and they actually had free tickets from the 5th grade ski program but their frugal dad still needed to cough up Johnny cash for a half day ticket plus gas, tolls and wear and tear on the car plus two Capri suns and a bag of sun chips.
-
Sure we all met him at the PASR party. He bought a season pass to blue...he and Salty skied together a handful of times last season. I’m sure he’ll be back here posting around the time the major Pocono ski resorts start blowing the mice out of the snowguns.
-
Remember when Ski2Live took his daughters to Elk??
-
Yeah it was spring of 2009 at camelback. Weren’t you in a Frat at Lehigh as well??
-
RideDE are you planning on riding at Blue at all this season?? You’ll be able to get a free pass since you’re a ski patroller.
-
I’m never by myself at Blue...I’ll believe this elk thing when it happens. Everybody has good intentions this time of year. Odds are they’ll only have a few runs open and blue will be almost fully open. If there’s no skiing that week at Blue like some seasons I’ll travel somewhere...pockets will be fat from Xmas bonus
-
Correct and the runs at elk are shorter than at Blue and you have to take a stupid cattle car to get from the lot to the lodge and I don’t want to drive an hour and a half to ski in PA or buy a $70 lift ticket. When I first joined PASR I did PASR days at JF and Montage and Camelback but I’m just over it. Blue is the lowest I’ll go when it comes to skiing. I actually want to get up to stowe again. I miss it up there so maybe sometime this ski season

Well with Xmas on a Tuesday we’ll likely be closed for 7 work days...24th-28th and then the 31st and 1st...I’ll likely be down at my parents in Virginia the 23rd-25th. XMAS week was brutally cold last year and not crowded at Blue and if I remember correctly nearly everything was open.
