Why do places keep building those things.

This has always been my general understanding as well. Why then when we want features that are expert/dangerous do we get the old "can't do it because of liability" story? Every year something comes up that a mountain can't do because of the liability, but doesn't the ticket keep them safe?

At first I was upset when I heard the Barrons were heading out of town. Its going to be so much better though with the yanks in town. I used to go to a few games every summer, but now I can tell you I'll be there all the time. w00t! Go Yanks in the ALDS!!!

I've never had a problem with my 3 hole pattern. It never came loose there. The rest of the binding was another story, but as for it being stuck to the board, it was just fine.

I've been scouting rails since I've gotten here and I think I found one that might work, and thats a big might. They certainly put a lot of thought into the handrails here, they are all built in such a way that there is no run in room, or landing. or if both ends are fine, they will put notches or holes in it so its impossible. Even some incredile ledges are broken up into pieces so that its not one solid surface.

I know Montage had one, but they took it out a loooong time ago. It was actually the first alpine slide I ever rode. Currently I don't think there are any in the poconos.

Exactly. We have to get on top of this from day one and make our presence known. Not in a negative way, but so that they know what we're thinking. It seems to me that this company would actually listen to a large group of its locals. Not that we would influence anything completely, but they would probobly take everything into concideration.

Wow I guess its official now. I guess my home mountain is Sno now, man that sounds weird. It will always be Montage to me. But on the upside its gonna be great!! I can't wait to see all the snow they throw down with these new guns.

This is actually pretty cool. As a Yankee fan its going to be a lot of fun. I think interest in the Barons has waned in the past years partly in part to the introduction of the penguins. This is going to be a big boost for the area's economy and Yankee fans like me

Decent points here. I know personally that I wouldn't want to waste a run spotting for someone else. DH, you're right, while its the "right thing" to do, it won't really ever happen. I usually watch someone go over a jump, and don't drop til i see them move away from it. As for people in the parks that shouldn't be there. They're tourists, plain and simple. The first thing I think about when I pull into Blue is an amusement park. Thats what mountains around here are like. What do they care if they just do whatever they want? They're never going to see you again and they may only make it back on the snow once or twice. If you haven't noticed the 2.44E99 posts, these people are the ones that put money in the mountain's pockets. From their perspective the more n00bs flocking to see parks they can't ride the better. Park passes are the way to go and I hope every mountain around here has 2 parks and a pass in a few years. Not much more left to say.

Woah, that website is actually pretty nice. I can't wait to see what its like when everything gets into full swing. Also, did anyone notice the "sno spa" link at the bottom?!?! THis is getting out of control, we might actually have to worry about, dare I say it.........tourists.
