moe ghoul Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 http://forums.skiadk.com/about2400.html and a few other things when you poke around on the SKIWF board.
RootDKJ Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 Damn...I've love to actually hike that.
moe ghoul Posted September 11, 2009 Author Report Posted September 11, 2009 I missed getting up there last season, so this will be an added bonus when we go. I CAN'T WAIT FOR SKI SEASON!!!!!!!!!!
RootDKJ Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 I missed getting up there last season, so this will be an added bonus when we go. I CAN'T WAIT FOR SKI SEASON!!!!!!!!!! I have never been there, but it's on my short list for this season (which keeps getting longer as the season gets closer).
moe ghoul Posted September 11, 2009 Author Report Posted September 11, 2009 (edited) I have never been there, but it's on my short list for this season (which keeps getting longer as the season gets closer). I aim high on the coming season hitlist, if I can knock out 90% of it, it's a win. I missed out on a Maine tour and the annual WF trip last year. Maine got 86'd because the free accomodations fell through and WF got scrapped last minute for MRV because they got the big dump. Fresh pow trumps every time. Never made it to SNO either, drove past it twice coming home from Elk. If I'm driving that far, I'm going to Elk apparently. Edited September 11, 2009 by moeghoul
JFskiDan Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 i am also prepping for a nice trip to whiteface, with a lay-over at gore, possibly. seems like out west might be a bit out of reach for me, for a few different reasons. lately i cant get this place off my mind for some reason.....
OutCold Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 I haven't been to Whiteface yet, but Gore is one of my top 5 mountains. It's uncrowded with some sick terrain. Lots of rolling trails. I'd like to get back there soon, whenI was there last I wasn't that into tree skiing and I'd really like to check out their tree terrain some more.
RidgeRacer Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 (edited) Just when you thought the place couldn't get any better, they go and they add a 60 acre gladed run WF rocks. Edited September 12, 2009 by PA Ridge Racer
zaldon Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 sweet i drove by whiteface this morning and almost stopped to hike around a bit.
Johnny Law Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Wow that a ton of work and it looks like it will be a great little glade.
