To me it looks like they'll start making snow Thanksgiving night...check the weather for 18610. Every night after that looks good, so probably open first weekend in December. FYI, those new guns they got can put out a max of around 30 cubic feet of snow per minute (more like 25 if it's not below 20F). If someone wants to do the rest of the math they could figure out exactly how many hours it would take per each trail, for say, a 3ft base.

Lets just hope that changes. If you were to print a copy of that forecast and check off ever day that they predicted right, after the 15 days is up you would probably have less than 10 check marks. So hopefully the highs are barely 40 and the lows get around 20.

Any ideas how the pipe is gonna be? Hopefully alright, cuz back when they used to have one it never got groomed. It was fun on powder days though...

Yea, check the accuweather long term..(more like inaccuweather), but it shows snow storms like 11-15 days from now at night, with lows in the mid 20's after next weekend...except very strong winds.

Right now I'll be using my combo gun, SM4, whatever you want to call it. I also have a low pressure combo gun, but I haven't had a chance to test it yet...it's just for making little piles because the mist all falls in somewhat small area. I can get around 2.7 or 1.6gpm depending on what PW I use for the SM4.

Not on school nights, unless it's right after school...I don't feel like getting up at 4 on a school day. I'll set up a box Sunday though if everything goes as planned.

I know there's a word for when it gets cold faster with clear skies...It might be radiant cooling but I'm not 100%. Thats why us snowmakers always check the radar...it gives us an idea of how quickly the temp will drop down to the predicted low (especially if it's marginal temps). Also, it always seems to get less windy after dark, which is great for snowmakers.

Yea, just because the low is going to be in the 20's, that doesn't mean they can start making snow as soon as it gets dark. The coldest part of the day(night) is right before sunrise, so that would only give them snowmaking temps for a few hours. Don't get me wrong, cold temps are GREAT!!

SMI makes both the Pole Cat and the Wizzards...that's why I asked. I know they're all SMIs, I was just curious if they were all the same model. The Wizzards are blue, and you would probably notice them quicker than the black Pole Cats.

SkiPatrolNSP...do you know if they got all SMI pole cats, or did they get some Wizzards as well? I know they had SMI pole cats in the BB park, but I was just wondering if they got the same guns for both Mts.

Super windy here, and some flurries/a quick snow squall up around CamelBack.

The only good part I can see is that snow lasts longer when no one rides on it, and during the day they'll be able to take up entire trails to make snow, which will get an even better base.

Big Booter sounds better... I think it's awesome to keep hearing the updates, but towards the end of building and beginning of the season, I think it would be better to keep a few of the features "secret". Idk, its cool to go not expecting something to be there and then be like "o shit, check that out". It would probably draw in some customers too.

That one at JF must have been good, because all this time I couldn't remember if I had a dream about it or if it was real. That thing must have used a TON of snow. Seriously about the dream thing though...Idk how that happend but I didn't think it was real...probably the weirdest thing that ever happend, cuz how can you see something and then forget if you really saw it???
