Actully, the mountain has given us permision to close down Hump, Dromidary either half of big pocono, and 1/2 of raceway for training. To try and keep all the skierforevers happy, we close down hump early monring, and try to have it open by 10 or 1030. It makes for a pretty good GS training hill. Big Poc makes for a fun SL trainig hill, and the SL can be set without a closed trail because your not going as fast. A skier/boarder cross would be pretty cool. The other half of Big pocono? Uhh heads up, I am pretty sure that back in the day '999 skied bumps cometitively, and is aware of what switch is, and can still probably throw down tricks better than most people on this board. How busy was Marc (a green trail) when Shadows had his accident on it? It sounded like there was all of 3 people on it. Most of CBs trails (especailly greens and blues from the top) are pretty skinny. Add that with trees on the side and slowed reaction time...Well, seems like a bad idea. I would be more worried about someone after they had a few beers, than when they were so durnk they were falling down. After a few you can still basiclly function, just with increased reaction time. So you think you are fine, when really your not. If you can't get in your skis or ski for more than 5 feet without falling, that doesn't worry me too much about getting hit by you. At the same time, I know a few of the Masters at Camelback who can actully ski better after about 2 or 3 beers. But uhh better for them isn't all that good. Anyway, bad idea in my mind, but thats just me. beer league isn't from PASR

So why doesn't the bar open at 5? Why do the sam adams people try to get you to drink at lunch? Why does rob encorage drinking and uhh anything?

Currently the mountain has said we cannot leave B netting (safety fencing thats required for some races and training) up in the snow. Which is the main reason we cannot train on trails like cliffhanger, which would require a lot of fencing to safely run training. So if thats still the case, then I would say leave it closed when theres no racing or training on it.

The lights...They are in 4 sections I believe. East side, west side, middle, and base area. I am assuming the groomers each have an area they are responsable for, so it wouldn;t make sence to turn them on and off when a groomer was on that section of the mountain. Groomers have headlamps on them, but its going to work a lot better if they can see all around them, and be much safer for the groomers. Out of everything they do, that really doesn't bother me. I like being able to look at the mountain and see what it looks like at 3am I guess a few things I would suggest are: *Better lighting. Its great, but some areas could use a bit more. Keep the style of lights, they work very well. *More cometitions. Whether it be park, racing, bumps *More demo days/promo days...Always a fun time. *Keep rocket as the bump run *A seperate race arena cut inbetween big pocono and Margies. Set up full time with Fences, GOOD lighting, and just used for racing. *Discounts on food to pass holders

That might have been the dumbest thing I have ever head, in my life. It takes balls to ski durnk....I feel like I just lost 5 points off my IQ saying that. It takes the same amount of balls to ski drunk as it does to drive drunk. How you run your life is one thing, but I'm honestly kind of shocked that as a parent you encorage this kind of behavour, and encourage people to drink more. Well its not my kid thats going to be dead when his H12 hits a building because he was drunk when he got in to drive (maybe at 10 after he was done skiing drunk). Whatever makes you happy man, its your life. Actully I did call out a few of the sam adams people, as well as asked Camelback employees if Camelback condoned skiing and drinking, or skiing drunk. No one really knew what to say. Don't worry, Bode got plenty of sleep. He slept from around midnight til 11...

I didn't think he cared about that image. He doesn't like to be in the spotlight, according to him, right? If you are going to complain about being in the spot light for what you said, why would you say it. If he watned to get wasted before every race then not tell anyone, most people wouldn't know, and wouldn't care. But since he has now mulitpul times said that he drinks and races...well thats just stupid.

That run is mad sweet. Bumps you can rip on GS skis It has a sick line that 3 people can all sissyly douchebagily race down And the rest of the season (minus the day doug was there) it has great bumps. I'm sure if I went to blue next weekend I could find many things to bitch and moan about to. But thats just my negitive self

There were deffinatly changes made this year, which is good. They had sweet bump runs, which is one thing that I know the new owner watned. I also know a week or 2 ago they were planning on staying open until atleast early april on the east side. (Told this by a sorce thats not a low level employee). However then the warm weather came, <sarcasim> Art went on a vacation</sarcasim> and Rich closed the place down for the week. They are changing slowly, and I feel that things would change quicker if he wasn't around, but stuff is still getting done.

Hes good at that. Just like when the rest of the US ski team shows up to train with a mountain team bode won't feel like it, and will just dick off by himself...

More snow for me this weekend

Did you see the guys after they finished a 2 minute and 30 second course? Do you have any idea how long that is? Downhill going 60-80mph for 2 minutes, your going to be real tired by the end, so you don't need to do things to increase how quickly you get tired. 18 days!
