  1. I was up there, and caught up with some peeps... Good day
  2. Bode left the bar around midnight, then he left his trailer at 11am for a race that starts at 12noon...Didn't inspect the course...
  3. I should be there. Silver helmet, silver goggles, bright orange boots...
  4. I'll be up...friday night
  5. I know that some people can download on some lifts if they are too scared or w/e....In that case the lift probably stops and restarts with them on it. Not sure about how it happened to the kid tho...broken maybe?
  6. And its a freaking sight to see!
  7. I wanna ski that course!!! When are they? Course looks like it has lots of snow on it, and not much ice right now...
  8. Mount hood (www.timerberlinelodge.com) and Whistler both have glaciers. (technacally Hood is a snowfield, because its not moving). Anyway I have been to hood, which is like a big well, snowfield (sloped maybe 25 degrees), looks like a big rectangle with stuff coming off of it. It would be very dull to ski down if you were not either racing or doing some park stuff. Depending when you get there in the summer, they have more or less snow...
  9. http://www.skiracing.com/news/news_display.php/3279/ALPINE From Ski Racing ACL tear threatens Kristina Koznick's Torino dream February 06, 2006 American independent skier Kristina Koznick, racing in likely her final season on the World Cup circuit, suffered a partial tear of her anterior cruciate ligament Saturday and is questionable for the upcoming Olympic Winter Games. KARE, a television news network in Minnesota, reported on its Web site that Koznick said she fell several feet near a warm-up course when a catwalk being used by several skiers collapsed. See http://www.skiracing.com/news/news_display.php/3279/ALPINE for the rest of the article. In her web site ( http://www.koznick.com ) she wrote: Title: why now.... Date: 02/04/2006 To my dearest fans, family and friends, I felt I should write to you before the media frenzy started. I partially tore my ACL today during warm-up for our World Cup G.S. in Ofterschwang, Germany. I also have some pretty good bone bruising. At first the plan was to head directly to Colorado in case I needed surgery, but as the day progressed the plan changed. Because part of my ACL is still in tack, we will stay in Europe and rehab as much as possible with the hopes that I may be able to race on the 22nd in the Olympic Games in Turin. I know it is a long shot, but the fighter in me can?t let go. Hope is a very powerful thing. I love you all more than you can imagine. Please pray that God will direct me and my team as to what is best over the next 18 days. love, Kristina and Team Koz You can send Koz a Get Well note by emailing her here: http://www.koznick.com/fan.mail.post.x2e?p...ply&id=TTerbjuC
  10. Haha I know a lot of *sswipe race coaches...The ones from blue are particually stuck up I think...But then again, there are probably a bunch of good ones around there that just don't really get noticed (for bad reasons)
  11. Sean is rocking the twins
  12. Which on is on PASR? Hint, its not Sean
  13. Very true... I know...errr knew many kids on the race team who didn't like racing, but did it because there parents wanted them to. Now, all the older kids (14+ish) who race, mostly do it because they want to, and not because they 'have to'. With the younger kids most of them like it, but also want to be able to play around the mountain too. And as much as you want to say that racing is stupid or w/e, as far as it sounds, everyone who did it at the BC PASR day last year had fun. I'm not saying everyone who had fun wanted to do it all day everyday, just like I think a run threw the park every now and then is fun, but I wouldn't want to do it all day everyday...... Skizo...you said something about being able to ski everything....thats also true. You are a great skier when you are able to ski all around (park, trails, bumps, race, glades, cliffs...)...Most races can do just about all of that, cept for maybe the park. Then again, I know a bunch of races who can throw down decent stuff in the park too. I don't often see freestylers race, or even ski trails too much, but then again, I'm not really watching them, so I don't know whats going down. Are you hating on the coaches or the racers? Again I'll say that not every racer is against going in the park....Up at the PA cups lots of races took there warm up runs on twins, keeping there race skis tuned up ready for the race. I was even told by a coach at CB a few seasons ago that if I wanted to fun rock ski, go buy a pair of twin tips...That way you can go have fun and screw around on them. If you have a team of 40 freestylers, and a team of 40 races, I bet you can find the same number of *ssholes on each...
