  1. As a skier I hate lifts without footrests.
  2. I had no idea what you were talking about and looked up B. Rad on YouTube. Found the perfect comment: "I couldn't watch this movie. it's just to cringie. and there's actually people like him out there"
  3. My homies from the neighbor hood thought it was gangster and balling at the time.
  4. I co-starred in a music video to that song. Sadly everyone thought it was cringey.
  5. It's human nature, especially for adolescents, to have the mindset "it won't happen to me". As I get older I realize that yes, it can happen.
  6. It's tragic and my condolences to his family. Cant help but think it was the riders fault and not Blue's, and most people would likely agree. I'm pretty sure the greatest risk of death involved with skiing is driving there, followed by an out of control skier or boarder crashing into you, which is why i try to only ski when the crowds are minimal or nonexistant.
  7. I plan to only ski for the first 2 hours after opening until this so called cold arrives. Who is "they"? When are they sending the cold weather? I need to ski down Razor's Edge on my RTMs before March. Today i was playing The Evil That Men Do by Iron Maiden because the lyrics say "living on a razor's edge" and it's my go to song to listen to while descending that run.
  8. The best is when I lower the bar and it hits someone in the head...like they were never expecting it to come down or something. Now I say "bar" before I do it so they know.
  9. Thanks for sharing. Those pics were more than I needed to see however.
  10. People on Facebook are making comments like "this is why I stick to snowtubing", but I argued that's not entirely safe either and no one wears helmets.
  11. I found an old article where a guy was killed in 2004 snowtubing down Main Street. I'm sure you guys remember that. A guy I worked with at Eagle Rock snowtubed down the double black, which isn't White Lightning but still has some steep pitch. Incredibly stupid. At least he's still alive and even got it on video.
  12. Thanks U2. I'll be sure to wear my face mask. Hoping for some cold weather and perder soon. If they close down it'll be really sad.
  13. Skipped today, it was too warm out. I'll get there Sunday morning if it doesnt rain.
  14. Wonder if Steeze is going to respond to this one. Not sure what this guy is arguing...? That ski resorts should discourage people from skiing...? And Steeze should go to Bear Creek instead because it's the same as Blue. "It takes about 3 minutes to go from top to bottom on this "mountain." This is not a mountain. I taught skiing in Colorado where real mountains exist. This is the result of too many people who don't know what they are doing on one slope. The ski area encourages masses to come and buy lift tickets. And they profit handsomely. I skiied at Blue Mountain when it was Little Gap. I have skiied there since it became Blue Mountain. The terrain at Blue Mountain is no more challenging than Doe Mountain, now Bear Creek. Nobody should ever die at Blue Mountain. Their problem is that too many people who have no idea how to ski populate their slopes. They encourage this..............now a kid is dead. That's not right."
  15. I always just say "bar" and put it down. Actually people put it up early, like 30 seconds too early, and I'm just like whatever I'll grip the chair for a few seconds.
  16. Cant understand how anyone can fall off unless they're screwing around. Sometimes I end up sitting by tools who think they're too cool for safety and dont want the bar down. In that case I tightly grip the back of the chair. Fortunately that is rare.
  17. Floyd's Fooly is closed according to Jackson Frost official website. I really want to get back to Jackson Frost this skison once there is sufficient powder to ski the Happy Land glades.
  18. Ok!! Maybe eaf will come night skiing with us again and I'll let him try my RTMs!
  19. I might go night skiing one evening next week depending on the weather, such as if it doesnt rain.
  20. That wasn't a ding against Blue. I prefer night skiing when conditions are good and the weather has of course been garbage recently. I'd rather ski hard firm fast boilerplate over slushy push piles, because ice is nice.
  21. Ugh, it's worse than I thought. Won't be night skiing for a while.
  22. I don't which is why I only ski from 8 to 10.
  23. Best skiing of the year today for the first hour, for me anyway. At least Main Street, Chute, and Midway were pretty good. After sausage fest, the conditions had deteriorated and everything was really choppy so I left.
  24. I wouldn't say these guys are "pushing" me to get out more by any means. And even if they did I'm completely resistant to peer pressure so their efforts would be futile. Ski you all Sunday.
