  1. I was surprised that it's more expensive to get a tune in suburban Philadelphia than at a ski resort shop, but down here is where the big money is.
  2. Yep. I just called Blue and was promised next day turnaround. Thought Buckmans would be more convenient but when the guy told me $10 extra just to have them back in less than a week, I said fudge that.
  3. Bumped for stoke. Buckmans wants $71 for a full tune, and that includes a $10 upcharge to have them back in 3 days. That's highway robbery! I'll go to Blue or Stowe for a tune, I just called Blue and they can have them ready for Saturday morning. Sick bird.
  4. Maybe you'll get free refills. The first time I heard about free refills, I thought it meant the bar refills your drinks for free when it's snowing (true story).
  5. WTGAI! Since you're not getting a True Blue pass next season that was worth the risk. I wouldn't risk it because I dont want to get banned, but what you did was pretty badass.
  6. I parked at the lower lot because I got tired of being stuck in ski boots while conversing with fellow PASRs. The Dolomiti sounds epic, post a report! Glad you got sweet sweet revenge.
  7. I'm jelly, I haven't seen them since 2018. Next Saturday we can see if the current pickle seed stayed on my mirror all week long.
  8. Where were Eaf and Ski2Live?? Did they come after I left??
  9. Just got back from Shawnee the untrue mountain. It was aight, light crowds and so so conditions. Icy with some perder on top, just like the night we skied at Blue with Indiggio earlier this season. Did 16 runs in around 2.5 hours and called it a night. I got my fill of Shawnee for the next 2 seasons.
  10. Had a Big Mac Attack so stopped at McDonalds. These new touch screens are great!!! Dont have to talk to anyone AND they bring my Big Mac and fries to the table for me. Waiting 11 minutes now for an extremely difficult and uncommon order to fill: Big Mac and medium fry
  11. Thanks! I didnt think Shawnee does moguls, and their website says William Tecumseh Sherman is groomed. I think you're trollin'.
  12. Bought a night pass for Shawnee on Liftopia for only $29. Since I've only skied at Blue so far this season decided to change it up, since I haven't been there in 2 years. May or may not eat at the same Chinese restaurant I used to stop at when I skied at Camelback. Cant wait to see how they altered my favorite trail there, Lower Delaware, with a terrain park.
  13. Great report! I would have been there but decided to get my teeth scraped instead. Maybe tomorrow.
  14. I've been driving the turnpike for a long time and just realized it a few years ago. Here's a pic from phillyskyline.com. I actually stood on the Ridge Road overpass and looked through my binoculars, and then flew my drone there. Yeah, I like stupid geeky things like this.
  15. Nice pics. In January 2013 I worked in one of those towers on the left for 8 weeks and had a similar view of 30th Street Station. The Comcast tower is visible around mile marker 37.3 on I-476 southbound, right after going under the Ridge Rd overpass. It's about 30 miles away from that point.
  16. Nah the article came up on Facebook since I like Camelback.
  17. Correct. Slow lifts but I still get approx. 35 runs in if I ski from 8-4.
  18. https://www.mensjournal.com/travel/the-best-ski-towns-to-visit-if-half-your-friends-or-family-cant-ski/ Tannersville is on the same list as Jackson Hole and Aspen. This is great!!!
  19. I've always heard that Vermont I mean Elk doesnt do discounts except for groups.
  20. The vertical drop is 162 feet less than Blue so you might not like it. Plus there aren't any double blacks and the black runs aren't very steep. But I always enjoy going there because the snow is good and I like the rural setting and almost nonexistent crowds.
  21. There's a brochure for Blue Mountain the True Mountain in the hotel lobby here in Malvern, suburban Philadelphia. That's my boy Blue!!!
