I can't wait. This is my new home mountain. Actually this is my old home mountain. 2002-2008. I get two days at Montage, Shawnee and Big Bear too so that will be fun. Wow. I remember visiting Shawnee once with a friend. It was 2004 so we were like 14. It was April, the last weekend they were open and they had an onion snow the night before. Like 6 inches. Had a blast. Wow. I got yelled at by a ski patroller at Big Bear because I was looking at a closed trail. Next time I go I'll make sure to get kicked out. Wow.

The rhododendron were so thick in there. It must have taken it 100 years to fill in like that after the logging stopped. Oh and apparently there's a huge wildfire in South Jersey. 3200 acres burned. 3000 people evacuated so far and the Garden State Parkway is shutdown. Only 5% contained and I just heard about that. Wild.

4-5 inches on top of the ridge at Delaware Water Gap. Couldn't see anything from the top.

I mean favors in the sense that they keep it open more than two months total. They haven't exactly spread the love around at JF either.

When BB was a terrain park it had a justification for staying open. Vail very obviously favors JF over BB. I guess BB is small enough that Vail doesn't notice the loss on their overall bottom line.

I don't hate Mountain Creek.

Yeah they were doing a pond skim thing and a "rail jam" with the one rail in the "terrain park". The place felt very sad.

I'll give them another week before BB closes. Stopped by for about a half hour today around noon. Place was almost empty.

Vail released Epic pricing for next season. The full Epic Pass is now $1051. The NE Value Pass is starting at $642. Looks like prices are up 7% from last year. These are early bird rates.

Pulled the trigger on the Indy add-on. Will be using BC as the local hill with a season pass.

I'd have to do Bear Creek as my season pass then jump on the Indy add-on March 1st (thats when BC season passes go on sale). That's probably the only thing from keeping me off Indy. They don't have a good local option coming out of SEPA besides BC as Shawnee and Montage are all 2hr+ drives for me.

I have to seriously think about Indy next year.
