  1. We'll be up tonight since Blue's closed the next two days SAD
  2. Arrived at 9 after an uneventful trek down 6 and 81. Ticket line was long with only 2 windows open and they were running a forklift through the line against OSCA regulation(assuming). They had a bunch of people going different directions for the breakdown and clean up after the concert yesterday. Beer cans and bottles everywhere. Started at Iron Horse with plans to run Fast Track all the way down but we couldn’t get to it without skating uphill. With 3 boarders and 3 kids in the group, that wasn’t going to happen. All the main runs were open, some with thin coverage, but the connectors and little trails in the woods are closed. Def had to skate a little more than usual trying to get places. Ended up going down the terrain park to Lower FT for the first run. Only did Runaway for the other lower slope and never made it over to Phoebe. I wanted to at least show them Boomer but the kids were having a fun on Easy Street with the side cuts. Weather was warm but cloudy all day. No lift lines or under a minute across the hill. The Salami Slalom was going on and got a kick out of watching from along Haul. Open entry for unlimited runs and just had to get two times the closest or exact for victory. Last pic we enjoyed someone parking perpendicular to every other car in the lot. Zero fucks given

    3/2/24 v Moist

Drove up to our AirBnB in Pleasant Mount last night with no issues. House is 3 miles back on dirt roads which we weren’t expecting. Take out from the Speakeasy Saloon was good. Burgers and Buff Chix pizza were stars but the calamari and loaded fry appetizers missed the mark. Up first thing but radar was all hunter green and sucked. Plan was to wait for a gap and the hourly said it was 2-6. Upper lot was open when we showed up at 1230 and got to park close. New this year was buy one get one tickets compared to free comped tickets from The Warren Miller film. We’re here with another family and it came to $293 for the day. The one you have to buy is an 8 hour ticket(~$90) plus 3 RFID cards, even though we would have been fine with the 4 hour pass but that’s the deal. 80% of the people on the hill were racers for an event. Up Seneca for the first lift and then we hung on the quad side to avoid the racers. Couple trails had zero snow lookers left but most had edge to edge coverage. Upper Tunkhannock was closed but lower was open and I love slutting it up for the lift. Started skiers left and worked our way over until soaked through around 5. All hero snow and a good time. Thought about doing the doll house here but no PASR discount is wild. House ended up with a precious moment shrine anyway. Over to Montage tomorrow.
  4. Because we went to that rad Warren Miller film in November that gave us buy one get one Elk tickets and I scored free Montage tickets from work(thanks @Troegs!)
  5. Missed that one but Hale Bopp was cool
  6. Same, except I'll use my gift card
  7. Was watching radar and hoping the rain moved through after the heavy stuff was done but no dice. Fog was thicc on the top half and rain slowed but didn’t quit. Fam skied an hour before we were soaked through. Maybe 15 people on the hill and 12 of them were lapping the park. Snow was nice and wet but becoming dirty with the warmth. Couple skeet spots on Switch poking through and Razors was closed. No practice going on though so not sure why. Challenge is quite dark in the middle.
  8. I think it ended up 1 pitcher for each person and no one even got a brain freeze. I was skeptical too but it hit the spot
  9. I think we set the new high score for Strawberry Margarita pitchers ordered that night
  10. Hey All, It’s almost weekend, is anybody planning on skiing Blue mountain the true mountain this weekend? Looks like temperatures continue. I plan on skiing Saturday and Sunday and maybe Friday and/or Monday. Remember Monday is an 9am opening.
  11. Dibs on the tazer, body cam, and tactical belt when he leaves.
  12. I'd be happy to show him my medical prescription
  13. Started on the OG6 and Atomic, Z, Drew, Justo, Rose, and BFG crew. First run down Razors was worth the price of admission. Second down Challenge was even better. Snow was great and could let the skis run with minimal crowds for the first hour. 2 minute wait for the second hour. Longest single session with 16 runs and half of them were Challenge. They were blowing at the top of the mountain but all of it is now on the Appalachian Trail so now sure how that helped. Some marbles on the mountain where they blew which is expected. Sidewinder was still pretty firm. Lots of ski swapping between the 27.5s today which was fun to talk about the differences. I’ve never met a friend with 29.5 so apply within. Heading back with the fam shortly for a double dip. Favorite part of the day was @saltyant flying right over us on the quad. Hope you had a grate flight! Check out the epic pic.
  14. Word on the street is the secret celeb here today is Josh Shapiro
  15. Awesome day. The kid loved the fresh snow and had a good time in winter adventure camp. I enjoyed how light the snow was compared to Tuesday. Wish that band would have came across a little more north Thanks to Enjo for the delicious protein in the lot Pic2- While picking up the kid we got a kick out of tubing only making it down ~60% of the hill. Looked like more walking than sliding
  16. My hope of skiing this afternoon was quickly squashed when I looked at the web cams. I'll pass on the crowd. From what I can tell, the VIP line at the Challenge lift looks small and only a short wait at least.
  17. EPAWA called it a "southern slider" and I think it's grate.
  18. Let me know when Patroller's Way opens. That's when I'll start taking them seriously.
  19. Made it up with my Valentine’s dates for 6-8 and a stop for dinner. Tried to get in Slopeside at the bar high tops but they said it was a 30 minute wait. Ended up at Last Run Lounge with loaded tots and a chicken cordon blue sandwich. Light crowds and snow wasn’t completely frozen solid so it was a good time.
  20. Was on the snow at 915 after a sporty drive. The hill up to the mountain from the south had people spinning out at multiple spots. After watching that carnage, I elected to park at the top for my first time this year. Managed 8 runs before heading to work. Thicc, wet, and deep. NMDW and CS were my favorite. Razors had a single track out from the bottom since it was so slow. Lots of people on Switch and other off trail tracks. Crowd was way smaller than last snow storm with the roads messy. Fresh tracks all over to be had. Might be back tonight depending on the crowd.
