We were wondering where @eaf has been. Also no @Mixilplix
If I came to Blue today I would have spent more time in the bathroom than on the mountain....

Camelback paralleling blue with the 25% off the sister resort and adding special Pass Holder lift access. They come in an insignificant $20-$30 under Blue's overall price, but throw in Camelbeach and offer considerably better deals for their off peak pass - which also starts an hour earlier (3pm) on weekends.
- Unlimited Pass for $629 ($399 for ages 6-22)
- Skip weekends (until 3pm) with a Value Pass for $349 ($199 for 6-22)
1. Blue is not Camelbacks sister resort...
2. Blue opened and stayed open before Camelback..
3. Camelback has no value...

Fun morning today...Rode the quad exclusively and worked my way east to west then back...Wind really picked up as the day went on and made Tutts a bit of a chore...TCS was pretty slick so only did that once....Even a marbled up Challenge was fun..Only ever waited a few minutes in VIP line at the quad...
@enjoralas all of your delicacies were on point today....The cheese steak was delicious...

Interesting, the basin side is like 800/900 vert but only one or two moderately steep spots of like 300ft. It's filled to the gills with noobs, like salty would be a golden God. The village is impressive considering its location, driving here is classic WV, nothing but trees and rocks. It looks more like great wolf lodge than a ski lodge but the restaurants are good and everyone is like in the south nice.
There is an expert pod that is actually across the street from basin called western territory that is like skiing another mountain. You start at the top, there is a road across the entire Ridge with basin on one side and this 3 trail expert pod is on the other. You ride a lift up ski 50ft across the top take you skis off cross the street and then put them back on and ski down the hill. Two trails there have some nice steep maybe like 200ft more vert than blue but not as sustained pitch.
It's kind of a weird place and at first the noob thing is annoying they stop the lifts alot and some of the cross overs are absolutely littered with people down. The upside is they are super friendly and all super stoked about everything.
If I was in the area for something I would come back it's a slightly bigger blue but it has some charm in its weirdness. Lots of custom stuff on the hill like these pro models.
I would think you gotta pro to ski those....

The Summit Safari Supreme is going to be an incredible ride. I imagine with the extra cash flow from the price increase we will get heated seats.
I pray it never breaks cause no one at Blue will know how to fix it....They will need the extra cash to fly in the mechanics...

Good for you man....It's so cool when shit just lines up....

Just clicked the purchase button a few minutes ago.....I'm OK with this pricing.....Can't wait to see the Summit Safari lift to the top get installed..
The Camelback discount is just fluff....The only redeeming thing Camelback has going for it is they allow uphill travel...

When I hitched up the west coast I felt the Oregon coast line was some of the best I ever saw....

Super fun morning on the skis....Besides the great conditions, when I was riding the six I got to hear @AtomicSkier yell "you ski too f#cking slow" at someone...and then saw @saltyant have a slight mishap at the top of challenge...Also saw some guy skinning up Homestretch....Long morning sesh made my legs tired, but it's always fun to get on the skis..Would have liked to have made lunch at Point Phillips but had some family stuff to do....You don't give too much thought when the ambulance rolls in but when the choppa comes in you know it's prolly some bad stuff...Vibes to whoever was getting flown out....Life can blindside you pretty quick.

@Mixilplix sorry I didn’t text. We didn’t wrap up until 9 and wasn’t sure how long we’d be around. Probably should have just sent you a text to let you know that anyway. My apologies.
No worries dude....I'm pretty disappointed in myself for missing this...Short attention span and tortoise like mannerisms aren't good
