  1. They do, two photos. My bitch is, they just post photos, but never mention what trails they are working on, (at either JF or BB), and what they plan to have open for the weekend. Their info always seems limited. Its like they go with the theory that no news is good news. I know that Blue is opening Friday at 8:30.
  2. Nah. that would be out of character for them. There is no good reason to inform people of anything before its absolutely necessary. it sure would be nice to know what they think they will have open, and when. I know that is asking for a lot, though. It looks like Love is ready to go, and i would say boulder trail is close as well.
  3. Guns are still on. light snow. production looks pretty good from the webcams....when they work.
  4. it looks as though they are blowing on boulder trail.
  5. Better call up Plattekill too, those fuckers had their lights on as well.
  6. Making snow at Frost. I read it on the internet, so it must be true. I wonder if they had the lights on.
  7. i think the cost of the lights being on is minimal compared to what it takes to push thousands of gallons at whatever psi uphill. And dont forget they need to toss in a little compressed air to make the magic happen.
  8. Right. so just keep him there from the start. i wont feel sorry for him.
  9. yep. That kids lucky that the guy stopped after two......and the guys he was with should be thankful they dont have holes in them. The kid got two bullet holes, and a year in jail. to me, that seems like he got off easy.
  10. In August in Lansing, several black people tried to play the Knockout Game with a twist: They used a taser. It misfired. The victim’s gun did not. He wounded his attacker but stopped firing after the Knockout Artist begged for mercy. Read more at http://www.wnd.com/2013/11/surprise-media-finally-wake-up-to-knockout-game/#LORMZLx8TM8La7TS.99 Pretty fucked up. i mean the whole knockout thing. the kid that did this is so lucky he is still alive.
  11. 11/22-11/24 The Update Update is back but for a limited time only.... and it will be in print..... This weekends hours are.... Friday 3-9 Saturday 12-9 Sunday 12-8 $25 lift ticket each day. There will be a POPUP event held on one of the 3 days, look for the Big Boulder PARK tent to enter whatever the event may be. We are working on getting more trails open meaning dress warm and bring your goggles because there will be snowmaking going on as long as tempatures permit! So, Freedom is open again for this weekend.
  12. i concur. Doesnt look like quite enough production, with temps after this morning no-go for snowmaking, until sat evening. Close, but close only counts in horsehoes, hand grenades, and diarrhea.
  13. IF you can get a hold of PC at JF, it sounds like he is in a helicopter. With the door open. While setting of fireworks. Its not so good.
  14. Negative, negative, negative. Thats my job. Lots of weather talk points to a cold shot here in November, then a warming period sort of beginning of December. our resident weatherman johnnylaw made mention of this a few days ago. What kind of temperatures the "warming" trend bring to our area remain to be seen. It looks like starting saturday night, we get some real nice temps for snowmaking, and it looks like temps close to something that will allow round the clock snowmaking for about three days, maybe more, its worthless to really look that far. i feel like if they dont take advantage of those temps and blow at JF, they will be way behind what camelback and blue will be able to accomplish. I really believe that the wonderful folks at JFBB have finally "got it", and understand that BB and JF each have their own identity. If they think that the people that normally ski JF, will just go to BB because thats what they have open when Blue, Sno, and Camelback each have trails open, well then thats just silly talk. Basically, i think if they dont get JF opened in a timely fashion after Blue, Sno, and Camelback, they are just sending customers to the competition. It would be embarrassing if they are weeks behind the others with opening JF. Who knows, they could have started on JF. i doubt it, but whoever runs their social media has taken the day off. there is also a few weather models pointing to some snow next week around T-day. Too early to discuss, but the fact that its there, says the temps are there to support it. Time will tell.
  15. snowmaking has resumed. They are blowing on Love Park, and i am sure Freedom.
  16. Seems like a pretty neat place to check out, but to me, only if it was much closer. its pretty far from Philly or the Poconos. For that amount of travel i would rather jump in Ridge Racers time machine and head for the Catskills.
  17. This might not be a bad idea....Casino with a ski area/waterpark, let the kids ski/waterpark, mom and dad drink weak mixed drinks at the casino....or ski during the day and hit the casinos at night? any other casinos with ski slope? yeah, it was pretty warm today. any snow left at Blue or BB?
  18. Weather looks a little warmer this week than predicted last week. Hopefully they will get going on some other trails, and start things up over at Frost. Looks like they could have a few trails open at BB for Black Friday.
  19. Thats a harsh ride....my neighbor does it from Cape May.
  20. i believe it does. your results might vary, like if you happen to be in Ridge Racers time machine. keep in mind the general disregard for the speed limit applies to the roads on the shortcut as well.
  21. Kinda bored at work, so here it is. i think its opening in the spring. I think it should be exit 87, where as Mahoning Valley is 72, or 74. Pocono exit is 95? The nice thing about the new exit is it is fairly flat, with just a little hill on 903. the shortcut can be a white knuckle ride in inclement weather.
