  1. this weekends snow is kind of inverted, more along the coast than in the wonderful mountains of PA. i like your thinking for next week. think positive.
  2. this is nice: snowguns working hard!12.16.09 | By Guido Jack Frost Mountain's snowguns are pounding East Mountain. the snowmakers are pushing to get it open this weekend. GM Mark Daubert just told me over 150 guns are running right now, with an ideal temp of 24 and very low humidity.
  3. and there might be something heading up the coast for late weekend, which if develops with the predicted temps, would be snow. could turn out to be sea snow though.
  4. good temps this week and a chance for some natural this weekend should make for some saweeeet conditions again. never fails - whenever i can hit JF on a weekday, its WMMR day, or buy one ticket get nine free, or bring your grandmother to ski day.....etc...
  5. What a great start to the season....12.13.09 | By jessica While I am here in my office at Mount Snow, I am reading PASR. The feedback seems that Jack had a superb start to the season as well as BB had another amazing Saturday as well. I hope that each and everyone of you come out and experience the conditions that our expert team of snowmakers and experienced groomers at both areas have created. For those of you who have encountered the quality conditions JFBB offers, I thank you and hope to see you again. Coming home soon, need JFBB Ale. Jessica apparently they pay attention to what people have to say......
  6. PC and Serch made it there in time to help get the lifts going. met up with PA Ridge Racer and we all made some real nice runs down challange glade. It was just as nice today as it was yesterday. the glades got some nice blow over last night and was real nice fresh stuff this morning. everything was going good until it really started to rain. i rolled out about 11:30.
  7. my plan is to be there to help them turn the lifts on. anyone else?
  8. do they know you by name at the hospital yet? see you tomorrow.
  9. just got back....awesome day. the weather was outstanding. great coverage on everything including challenge glades. the "closed" trails are fun as well. no wait at the lifts really until about 1:00 or so. hopefully tomorrows weather wont suck so bad. jahhdip
  10. i'll catch up to you sometime tomorrow Dom...no worries Can't help out there.....i heard Blue is running some specials?????? sorry...couldnt resist.
  11. just back from a quick session at boulder. got my mug shot taken then lapped little boulder a couple times. the snow was cold, white, etc.... little boulder was really hard packed, but there was a nice little area on skiers right that had a layer of untouched that was nice to play on, just had to avoid the basketball sized boulder towards the end. the lift on little boulder seemed to stuck on "granny" or maybe they were saving some electric. freedom was a little more skied in since thats where the majority of the people were at. my last run i was aiming for the little trail in between freedom and little boulder, which i thought might have gone unnoticed to most, but at some point they had run a machine down it turning it into a boulder field. when i left i saw a snow cat at the top of boulder park doing some work. looked to be quite a bit of snow up there to work with, but i was pretty far away. i overheard 6 trails and four lifts for tomorrow, but dont quote me on that one. 1 pic of little boulder with no one on it, too cold to take more.
  12. "challenge" might not be a green... : . i'm heading up soon to get my pass and make some turns at boulder. saturday at jack looks like the better day, weatherwise. might be some "mixed" precipitation sunday. maybe it will go towards snow, its early.
  13. when i stopped over yesterday it was quite obvious they were concentrating on freedom. we did pick up about 6" of fresh, which is nice, but thats not really going to help todays cause. i think i read on the web site about an "afternoon" opening. nothing firm. i would take a spin over but i am still trying to figure out how i am going to get into my vehicle. its frozen shut.
  14. things are a little snowier up north. its coming down at a pretty good clip now. just about time to go snowdriving.
  15. these are from about 1:30. the guns are silent. however mother nature seems to be helping out some, hopefully they turn them back on soon. if i can keep my hands out of the beer cooler i will venture back out later on.
  16. ha ha ha ha ha ha.... just started with some light snow.....going for round 2, and a samich shortly.
  17. these were taken at about 9:15 this morning. looks like they are concentrating their efforts on freedom. sorry for the lack of quality in these pics. apparently i should have been paying attention to those cell phone threads.
  18. i think at this point we are just hoping for something to ski on. think positive.
  19. i should be able to make it over saturday for a progress report. i'll even help them if it means i can ski sunday. by help i mean drive the snowmobile, 4 wheeler, etc....
  20. from killingtons faceyspace - "We're planning on offering 13 trails and 2 lifts for Wednesday's re-opening, including two Black Diamond trails - Downdraft Headwall and Mouse Trap. More terrain, lifts on tap for the weekend." if all the cosmic tumblers come together i am heading up next week.
  21. i dont know....pray for snow on staurday? i would love to make some turns this weekend.
