Unpopular opinion for sure, but I think Super Intergalactic Snow Tubing seems pretty cool. I could see myself enjoying an evening under those lights after a gummy bear or two and some sweet jams in my headphones.

Agreed, plus on ig/tik tok your place only has to look cool to bring mad peeps in the place. Guaranteed the ROI on the space lights is super high......whereas the new fancy lift.........

Just got my answer. Tune shop open at 8 am.

I would say they open when the first person gets there, plus if you actually need something done the first person sometimes just works the register and can't do much.

Crazy it will be 50 later and they are still blowing, big whales on galactic tubing.

  3. I don't really care what they have open, almost every year we get like Vista or lower main and many years we do only that for a bit. First day it's like fawn leg skiing anyways and cool just to be out.

Maybe I'm smoking crack but this seems to be a big increase in output, its still the same mostly but over the years Blue has become alot more brofessional.

Opening weekend pdis would make it feel alot bigger even if only to go the Magellan route.

They really know their market, bar for the parents up top and some kind of snow for the daycare. Half the parents of Montgo drop their kids off after school and pick them up when it closes.

I'd bet they do way better weekday numbers than Blue particularly in liquor sales where you can actually make money.

Have you ever tried getting divorced? It is an expensive and emotionally draining process unless both parties are in complete alignment on what they want the financial and custodial terms of thebdivorce to be.

I would say having experienced how challenging it is to get a divorce makes it unlikely we will get married even after she gets divorced. Neither of us plan to have more kids - which is IMO the best reason for people to get married. We would rather remain in a relationship as long as it suits us without making it so we would have to go through that process again if we ever wanted to end it.

Way to do you, for realz.

Black Friday would have been one of the earliest starts I can recall. I'm not talking about anyone here but mad peeps clamoring for them to open will ride like 8 days all season. The answer is always the same, they will open when it's cold and right now the cold is just trying to get a free drink from us. Give it a bit and she'll be back and hungry.

i didn't know there was a term for it, but we are in the same boat with PPL. we have around 80 ppl.

if there's just a run of the mill outage, it gets fixed pretty quickly. in a big storm scenario though, with lots of outages, we are definitely waiting.

My neighborhood is probably somewhere around 5k people with one of the nicest, largest most expensive old folks compound down the street. Last one we had no power for nearly 2 days and the one before was 20hrs, both were bangers but nothing crazy. My theory is when they went interstate consortium with modernization they run with way less excess capacity. Which combines with fracking/ng economics, general privatization from utility to run super lean and transfer the wealth from the system to private individuals. Add in longer runs as they shut down the old coal monsters and it's kinda surprising it isn't down more.

Interestingly enough, they have made snow at Frost and Boulder.  They usually dont run both.

Super smells like snow out,  pellet core here though quickly melts when it lands.

It's getting closer and I'm bullish on a pre Christmas storm.

Is that the same ski you lost in the Pacific Northwest?

Negative I have those but they need a mount, these are the 193.

  8. They seem to be in 100% confident they will get open next weekend.

I don't ever recall them being so upfront about anything really but maybe with their new capacity they can make Vista go in a couple of hours.

Still assuming best case they have only 3 nights at best next week. That would be mad impressive.

They seem to get a consistent crowd, at least it's been that way on the weekends when I've been there.

I understand that the entire complex is not doing all that well financially.
It's probably being propped up by NJ taxpayers, as closing it down would be a big eyesore.

Especially as it sat empty for a decade once already

  10. Scored some longship variant corvus's last night, not only are they my long coveted midnight in Cairo graphics they were once owned by a legit pro.

Historical provenance is often thought of with fine cars or such but legend has it mute himself once rode these down the icy slopes of Palmerton.

The old stand alone restaurants were so cool....everybody knows the red cups....checkered tablecloths......  going to a pizza hut back then was like really going out for pizza.  it was cool.  now i feel like the pizza is just a little bit better than @Benm's fav little Caesars hot and ready cardboard.

My mom worked at the one on 5th street in Reading so for awhile we had some red cups and their very specific French onion soup bowls.

Rando I still think of the karate game me and my sister used to play all the time.

Strange to think back in the day going to the Hut was a nice dinner out.

Do you still like Pizza Hut?  Me and @Johnny Law and @theprogram4 are big fans. Covid ended the Pizza Hut buffet, at least at the two Allentown locations k was familiar with.  No cicis pizza either..

I saw a legit stand alone pizza hut restaurant down near Havre de Grace, MD. I didn't have time to stop but I will for sure,  gotta see if they have the red cups and pan Pizza pan.

Last year’s Corvus 188. I liked the 193s but they were too long for me

We match homie and as far as 1 ski thats my favorite.

If you want to get rid of those 193's I'll pay a premium... some for style and some for ownership history

And then another super cold shot came in, but the power company shut them down.

It happened twice no ? I remember the first time it was hyper cold for a couple days and I expected some whales but shit was still brown.

Nothing major but temps are starting to improve a little in the forecast
