  1. It's such a nice day out and I so wanted to go but I got home super late and when I went to check in for my flights I discovered I booked for March which is a problem as its February. I've never made a mistake like that so I figured I should sleep more and went back to sleep.
  2. That would be awful. There are already too many peeps at Blue, it needs to stay it's own weird world or next up is a red snake IG account for Blue mtn road.
  3. 200000% agree, today was good and switch was very good but it's all about that free release. The booter is perfect, unless your exceptionally precise each takeoff is slightly different. Each time it's hurling you ass into the right with lots of speed slightly off balance in a fast transition to the edge. Snow elsewhere was a hodge podge and the trails felt busy af but nobody used to ski switch so maybe it's just in my head. Massive props to Enjo, you put on a feast and the amount of joy you bring to so many strangers......Your like the mother Teresa of meats and all things delicious.
  4. I thought switch was good for the booter alone, plus the cookies got smaller as you went down.
  5. I couldn't do today but knew waking up it was a nice one. Razors has been mad finicky of late, it's good but only for a short window.
  6. Always happy to see them blowing snow and challenge/particularly the top of switch have some serious piles but it did leave most of the hill with a nice topping of cookies. BFG has returned but otherwise it was pretty empty. Everytime the new lift stops and then immediately e stops they call down some master lifty who seems to be the only one who knows the magical buttons but 10 secs after he shows up and it runs.
  7. I think the old sign was MacArthur road as that's all I can ever remember it saying....... back in the day the traffic part ended like at the dinner.
  8. Glad to hear pops made it and your getting that fresh !
  9. The first one was green and was 2wd MT, I did, a 5 speed 3 door accentsomethingorother pos that I remember climbing through the hatch to unlock the doors. They are all slow af compared to the wagon, the body roll around a corner is extreme but in the morning I pretty much go as fast as possible in the reasonable sense. It's 645am on a Sunday morning and one of the rare times you can go on MacArthur.
  10. Main is perfect for an overhead laser light show. You could go right off the deck of the ski patrol shack, hook some speakers up on the chair poles and make it super galactic
  11. I rode from 130 to 330 and was shocked how good it was. Very smooth with a cream cheese like topping it was very much hero snow with the exception of a few spots on DW. Everyone must have went early as I saw ZZslope way in front of me in line but it was pretty much ride on. No action on Challenge or Switch, I would guess they are waiting to push out until after the rain.
  12. That is incredible ! Spot on for the most part and I love his deep psychological inferences. I don't know if gym bros is accurate though as while I see some young people driving one it seems most popular with the older crowd.
  13. Sort of, they are trying but with the wind yesterday and puc I don't know that they'll get much. Challenge goes but it would be thinnnnnnn
  14. I have like 8, if I remember I'll throw one in the car for tomorrow
  15. Today was most excellent, some of the best snow of the season so far and while cold it wasn't too brutal with no wind. Confirmed the power company shut them down but they fired up Challenge around 11am. Not sure why they can't dial up the juice anymore, isn't it a 21 state consortium anyways? Big shot out to Psu for the tree house, shit was delicious ! Good day for sure and tomorrow is going to feel subtropical.
  16. Do you still need this ? I have one but I just saw this.
  17. Windy af but not super cold with the sun out, wookie fleeces kind of weather. With what is rumored to be the biggest tubing weekend ever and special guest appearance by Oprah Winfrey they are blowing that shit deeeeeep. Guns on to reasonable effect on challenge up to the upper headwall, everything above that is blowing into Cherryville. Also blowing on Switch but to little effect as almost all of that is blowing onto main. Snow is good, still some slick spots but infinitely more together with lots of speed and grip. The marbles on main are considerably smaller and raceway/chute/lower is quite nice. Coming Soon is nice but alot more wind effected, NMDW is as good as its been all year so I mostly lapped that. Not quite absolute full speed but super nice to start to get aggressive on it. I think challenge will go, the upper yellow is putting out some depth but not sure about switch. The wind really needs to die down as it wasn't accumulating there at all.
  18. I'd put only maybe whataburger and in n out above the shack and that's just becuase they are open 24hrs or super super late. Vanilla malt, cheese fries and a double with shack sauce
  19. CB stoke is always good but then I want to eat Thai as it reminds me of Ryce. How's the snow ?
  20. Even better by 940 they had gates set down the left side and still kept it open. It seemed totally random but they were blowing on it last night and some of it came out absolutely glacial in spots. I'd much rather they say something for sure but it just seemed a bit funny as they only were there maybe 20 mins and like Dan said if your warning everyone maybe just drop the rope at 10 after it's warmed up.
  21. Rode this morning, didn't see anyone I knew except some old heads. They blew massive piles on tubing, come around and xing. First run when i get off to go NM/DW there is a patroller who stops me and strongly advises against razors which i wasnt going anyways but apparently it was a frozen bone shaker even for blue. NM/DW was good consistent winter cord. Main was still being groomed at 840 so while good the first run it pretty much instantly became marbles. Lazy was ok as was dis, coming soon was closed. Widow/curziRacecabin was excellent as was Le Chute. If they can work out a couple of glacial spots and cookies in the next groom it should be quite good. I also got a little gap t-shirt and am on the way to shake shack, good way to start the day.
  22. I cannot but Edge and Dirtwolf may be. Tonight was pretty good, there were a couple slick spots but as they were blowing lots of places most of it held some soft man-made. Right side spine on Coming Soon was the best I thought but upper main was also pretty smooth, fast and good grip.
  23. Just go, I'll be up between 5 and 6 depending on traffic. Dirtwolf I think will be there and if it's terrible terrible snow we'll have even more fun grinding the spine.
  24. For realz ? Risk tolerance in humans is a highly varied witch doctor like stew of brain chemistry, experience, etc etc. To TP4's point you don't take risks in other areas but perceive of it differently ? I know you do, I know everyone of us does. Indiggio you have a motorcycle no ? Zz I believe you do not use a helmet ? Johnnylaw smoked mad cigs for years and years. Again I'm not saying anything against anyone. Motorcycles are cool af and if you want one you should have one but by any measure it's orders of magnitude more dangerous than riding a lift regardless of bar status but the key is you dont feel it is because of a million factors specific to your experience. Some people won't ride on motorcycles by default, some people don't put the lift down, some of us looooooove nicotine it's all the same thing perceptions of risk but not actual risk which is always unknown. Risk tolerance is very personal and prescribing ones views to others is impossible as the concept is so nebulous. What's everyone thoughts on the false vacuum state of the universe or that gamma ray burster that probably isn't pointing directly at us ? Do those things matter ? Who's to judge ?
