I'm confused, I thought the boy was TTC6, he's only about 5'4" and weighs a buck fitty at most.

After getting my sweat on trekking thru the woods, I headed over to my neighbor's hill at Wissahickon Ski Club and earned some turns there. Mostly tracked out by the club members yesterday, some untracked snow was found skier's left of the Tbar and further left in the trees.

Went and got some. Tested out the new boots/AT set up today. Worked like a charm. Here's a few shots from some urban stashes in and round Philly. I took a tour thru Fairmount Park, then earned turns at Wissahickon Ski Hill. Then I came home to new skis. Winter ROX!!!!!!!!! Parked at the Outward Bounds House and hiked in about 300 yards. Untracked goodness. Coverage was decent, and warming allowed for some compaction which eliminated most of the smaller hidden obstacles. Larger stuff was apparent nd avoidable. Would not try this again if it warms up.

That model I mentioned last week that had a storm moving in for Xmas is now projecting heavy rain. Still early, let's hope it gets colder. Everybody run every A/C...car, house with the windows open.

Sno looks awesome to drive by on my way to Elk. Their hours of operation are what attracted me to Elk and skip their opening .....Night.

Back from a little nite time XC skiing. Drove down Wise's Mill to the Valley Green parking lot. Mounted the skis, did a few shots, cranked some ratpack xmas tunes and headed out for about 45 minutes each way. Pretty magical with all the snow....

At least a foot so far, snow pile on my deck table looks closer to 15-16".

Serious puke mode here just ran the blower over the driveway and its already covered with at least an inch.

Winds are picking up from the east with a few gusts under 10MPH as the snow keeps falling at a fairly constant clip. Currently 5"........

We thought about dropping one car in 'yunk, then skiin down Main Street and stoppin in, but plans changed. Looks like retail takes one in the teeth today.

Headin out after 5, Nordstrom's is closing early and he's gotta pick up his wife from work. A little nite hike along the creek should be pretty sweet.
