  1. That's like asking the Pope to pray. It'll happen.
  2. I know you posted this a while ago. Just seeing it now. Anyhow no Wawa is not shitty fast food. I took off 20 lbs last fall eating their turkey hoagies for lunch (no cheese, oil or mayo, just vinegar oh and get the wheat instead of white) with an apple or carrots. Also (although expensive) Saladworks is always good. replace the white roll with wheat, avoid the cheese or bacon and use the fat free balsamic dressing. Shit's delicious.
  3. It snowed last night about a half inch here in the pocs with the wind chills in the teens for the next few days. It seriously sounds like the damn wind right now is about to uproot our house and drop it in the land of fucking Oz. To be honest I'm over it. Hoping next winter will be better.
  4. Nice...Hope you enjoy AZ. Me and my wife hiked the superstitions a few years ago and it was one of the most surreal places I've been. Like going back in time 150 years or visiting the set of Back to the Future part 3 (not sure which is cooler).
  5. The really cool part was sending me a gift card for my kids ski club passes. They could've said give them to someone else or they could've told me that since the injury happened to me there was nothing they could do about their passes, but they completely understood that I needed to take them, ski with them etc so they credited that as well... Again awesome customer service. That's some bullshit right there.
  6. Still managed 8 days this season... Could've been worse I guess.
  7. Not to rehash shit but the 7 of us who post here know that my ski season ended when I got jacked up pretty good at Blue in January. It was an accident. No one's fault. Shit happens. Obviously I'm a pass holder at Blue plus I have a few hundred invested in ski club passes for my girls. So I drop some dough there. Granted it's not PoconoOceanCity's JFBB dough, but dough none the less. ( ) Anyway after I got hurt I initially assumed that my $$ was a wash for this season. After getting my wits about me, at some point post surgery, I figured let me call Blue and and see if there is anything they could do. I spoke with a very nice gentleman who advised that I should send a note from my Dr. in order for them to credit not only the un-used portion of my season pass for this year but also the 11 of the 12 unused tickets for my kids since they wouldn't be going without me. Long story short I gathered up everything that they needed and mailed it off. Yesterday I find a check in the mail from Blue Mt. I called today to try and determine what exactly the check was for. I spoke with a very nice lady who advised that the manager I sent my info to was in a meeting. She transferred me to her VM. The manager called me right back (extremely nice and knew exactly who I was) explained that the check was for the un-used portion of my season pass. She also stated that a gift card was on it's way (got that today) for the un-unsed ski club passes for my kids. Bottom line, Blue basically refunded me for everything except for the skiing I did up until I got hurt; in a season where they probably took a beating because of the weather none the less. Pretty f'ing cool. I'm not sure if this is standard for all ski areas. (I don't think it is). But I wanted to share because not only was everyone I talked to extremely nice and pleasant but Blue definitely treated me like a valued customer / passholder. They've earned my business for a long time because of it. It's not like Blue needs additional props around this place but for any lurkers or posters thinking about Blue next year (C1er, etc). Do it. Their customer service alone is worth it.
  8. Dude I say this as a friend who cares a lot about you. Please stop with these type of posts. "I have 3 kids and a beautiful loving fiancé who I need to be around for" I'll add a few...a job, nice car to drive, friends, a fucking kick as hobby (skiing) people who care about you etc etc. The list goes on. Glass half full bro. Perhaps your near miss at work the other day was a wake up call to see the good and say fuck you to the negative. No one is perfect.
  9. yeah I was thinking the same. A bad one may fuck up your life. But a Psychologist fucking up one's life seems counter productive.
  10. That's actually a really good deal.
  11. And there's no reason for you to not have been there saying suck it with him making my broken ass jealous. (Sorry for calling you out...I still love you ). Next year I'm dragging you out west with my bionic arm.
  12. Serious question as I'm curious. Is the elevator, elevator glade etc even a "thing" anymore? I was at Frost only once this year before my injury but east mt wasn't open yet and last year (the few times I was there) the elevator was reminiscent of 6 or 7 years ago when it was a jungle. I'm assuming now that the race team has taken over East mt. the "good stuff" over there isn't a priority anymore but I'm really curious how things are looking. I have so many good memories skiing on east (vader, trees etc). Would be a shame if it got neglected again. Just wondering.
  13. April 24th...See you all there for the party.
  14. So each park ticket comes with the ability to use 3 FP's per day?
  15. yep...FP is key. I think we're staying at Coronado.
  16. NIce work gents. That view of the canyon is sweet. Nicest scenery IMO of all resorts I've been (WP / Squaw are close). I <3 snowbird.
  17. Brady may have left his pregnant GF but he never "cheated"
  18. That's most likely what will happen. I need to think long term. If I'm even ready this season it'll be spring which means I'll be getting jostled around in spring conditions. As much as I love corn, it can wait.
  19. I let it slide...lol. One of the best moments of my life was strolling through the Denver airport wearing my Patriots Jersey last year 2 days after we won the super bowl. The looks I received were fantastic. I've been a Patriots fan since I was 6. Pose this!
  20. Been there a bunch of times. First time for my middle and youngest so I'm really stoked for them.
  21. If anything a drive north in April. We'll see. I have no idea. My window to go west this year was when I was supposed to go next week. That obviously isn't happening. Focused on the summer vacay with the kids in June. Not gonna let the injury affect what I promised them.
