  1. Skied for about 2 hours making laps on Love Park trail. Snow conditions are really nice - man made packed powder which turned sugary as the night went on. Snow was very fast. I was hoping for Boulder Park but it was not to be - it looked close though. Pics to follow.
  2. Kinda like you over-run every thread with your stupid posts. And the jackets are brown (not black).
  3. This is true actually. I drove past blue this morning and there were a few patches of white under a think fog. With a high of close to 60 the next few days there will likely be nothing left. This is getting depressng.
  4. Theres no way that they could have opened this weekend. Its been unseasonably warm.
  5. That's cool but the price is right horn FTW.
  6. Congrats - Place looks sweet.
  7. Just picked up a pair of Dalbello Axion's - Much needed. My current boots have seen well over 200 days.
  8. You mean he'd have to ski in Pennsylvania in the mean time (gasp!)
  9. Utah is winning. Listen to the voice of the people my friend.
  10. Nice Moe - We must have just missed you guys.
  11. Big boulder is looking good. Still looking though.
  12. 15 inches and scoping out some stuff to ski on with jfskid.an. Rock skis are out. Pics to follow...

  14. This is true. The lunch special is typically a classy affair. Often times the lunch special choice could take you across the globe without even leaving the Jack Frost lodge.

Then it was '08. It was the season before those trails opened. I remember I hitting Blue because they were the only thing open! It was November and BB didn't open until 4pm and I had to work so I went to Blue. That was the last year Ray Tuthill ran it I think.

I'm definitely skiing blue this season. I haven't skied dream weaver or nightmare yet. Last time I skied there they were cutting those trails. What was that three seasons ago? No excuses this season.

But vert around here is virtually meaningless. Like I said we're comparing molehills to molehills in the Poconos. Are there longer trails at Elk and Blue? Of course, but by what...10 seconds? Then again It takes me longer to ski One park glade or challenge glade than it takes me to ski Susquehanna or Slalom (probably because there's more turning required due to the trees). I'll take that over the traditional run any day. Are the Elevator and Risk It short as hell? Yes. But they're steep and there's nothing at Elk like them. Vert obviously makes a difference at big mountains north and out west. Here it's just a number IMO. And you should definitely check out Jack Frost at some point this season. I think I may even get some sort of discounted ticket on my pass that I can let you have. Let me know. Dan, Phillycore and myself would love to have you come up.
