  1. Yep. You're getting 95% of the experience with a midrange device while saving 800 bucks or so plus 30 to 40 monthly. I used to be the person that needed the latest and greatest but the mid range has gotten so good recently.
  2. LG officially pulled out of the cell phone game about a month ago. LG does extremely well but the mobile phone division was losing money like crazy.
  3. This is how most of the world does it. They buy a phone (unlocked) then toss a sim card in for whichever carrier they're using. Here the majority are still financing their phones through a carrier. This is why we have a Samsung / Apple duopoly and this is also why phone makers get away with charging $1200 for a flagship device in 2021. Most people aren't paying $1200 up front. They're paying that while tied to a 2 to 3 year contract with a carrier. Personally I like the freedom to choose the carrier that I want (including MVNOs) and switching phones when I want. I have a buddy who absolutely hates Verizon but can't leave because he's locked into the contract for the next 2 years. He'd have to drop a few grand to pay off his family's devices to get out of it now...or wait the full term. That sucks imo
  4. Hiked a portion of Ricketts Glen today. From Onondaga to Ozone falls (my son really liked it).
  5. Nice early morning hike.
  6. Worlds end canyon Vista
  7. I've pretty much stopped wearing a mask. Since Friday I've been to multiple restaurants, stores, hotels etc. Feels good to be almost back to normal. My younger kids aren't vaccinated so they're wearing them still.
  8. Not home internet related but realized that MVNOs, as opposed to major carriers like ATT and Verizon for wireless are a no brainer if you buy unlocked phones. I'm rolling with an MVNO on the ATT network, 4 phones, mobile Hotspot, wifi calling, more data than we need for less than a hundy. I'll never purchase, lease, finance an ridiculously overpriced phone with a network again (its not a car). Buying unlocked gives you so many more options.
  9. That's groovy saltman. Cool stuff.
  10. and these geniuses are going to manage Blue.... "The database shows that one lift at Camelback failed a routine inspection in November 2020 and another lift failed inspections in October and December 2019. Because the database identifies lifts by number and not the name used by the resort, it is unclear whether either lift that failed inspections is the one involved in the fall."

  12. Technically yes. Since he is the GOAT. A turncoat GOAT but the GOAT none the less.
  13. Skyrush is a GOAT Coaster
  14. That only works at ski areas that actually get snow. Although they could pull a whitetail and leave everything ungroomed on Mondays
  15. Looks similar to the color I'm doing. I pulled off the old posts, bought new and staining before attaching.
  16. Would you use the 120 post stain? To finish it off basically?
  17. I think I'm done with the pressure wash. Picked up a belt sander to remove the rest of the stain and smooth things out before applying the new stain. What's a good grit to use? Thinking 80 or 100?
  18. This is post memorial day too. https://www.pennlive.com/news/2021/06/pa-has-streak-of-sub-500-covid-19-case-counts-daily-update.html Pa. has streak of sub-500 COVID-19 case counts: daily update Pennsylvania reported 297 new COVID-19 cases for Monday, after reporting 321 new cases for Sunday and 488 for Saturday. For comparison, Pennsylvania twice had more than 10,000 daily cases during the worst of the pandemic in early January.
  19. Who would you consider to be hardcore PASRs? And hardcore as in hardcore poster or hardcore as in hardcore Skier? or both? I would consider you both.
  20. Working hard to get those thread views @GrilledSteezeSandwich?
  21. 580 new cases in PA today. Been a long time since we've seen that.
  22. So are you insinuating that it was created in another lab (let's say Lab A or somewhere else all together), and transported to Lab B, then accidentally released from there. I'm not understanding. If it was leaked from the lab, whether by accident or not, it likely came from there. Yes these are two different things but I think TP4 was trying to illustrate the origins of the virus, which was the freaking lab.
  23. Looks good. I sanded some but but will probably just start staining once I'm done with the pressure wash. The wood, thankfully, is in really good condition. No need for soap / cleaner from what I can see so far.
  24. It's a mess and I'm picking up the new spindles this week but here's where I'm at with it.
