I think blue changes their morning ticket to a six hour ticket. Morning ticket was never a substantial savings. I remember it being like $53 on weekends. It was half that when I was a kid back before all the robots and drones and shit. Back when Billy Joel had to be a Big Shot.

One thing is for sure...when it finally gets cold the snowmaking ponds will be full!!! I can't wait to see the snowmaking cannons blow snow...the ski jones is starting to kick in. Especially after watching early season videos from the Rockies. The edit from big boulder didnt even give me a half Chubb..I like seeing powder and big dog booters when I'm looking at powder porn. Blue mountain had a half filled upper parking lot this time of year last year. One thing is when there's a late opening its usually busy right from the opening bell. Out west and up north and when we have exceptionally early opening days it's mainly the die yards who are out but when they open late December everybody is all ready to go out. Gung hoe instructors, patrollers, park Crüe, racers, PASRs, red van from NJ with Asians and the 6-7 Gary's. I feel like Mother Nature is ripping is all off a little bit but maybe we'll get a 16" dump or something on a weekday in February to erase this dire time in the pennsylvania banana belt that is mid Atlantic skiing and snowboarding.

Yes that would have been 2002 mid season but they closed early...mid march. Was a 2.5 month season.

Nope no total washouts. Worst I can remember is 2001 when blue opened a few days after XMAS. Doesn't matter if its happened before or not. It will likely happen a few times in our lifetimes as the earths temperature continues to increase. When it does happen I'll be fully prepared to spend at least a month in the Rockies. In 2007 blue was closed January 6th-10th.
