  1. This is the weather we’ve been waiting for all summer. Savor it ladies and germs before it gets warm again.
  2. Where?? Imagine if that was snow. Would be a quick 6” although winter storms don’t have the heat and energy of hurricane.
  3. Do you use a dehumidifier for health reasons or is your house real humid and things get moldy?
  4. I like getting mixed bags...I have 7-8 different kinds of herb right now.
  5. It’s stupid my friend got one of those for tacos. It was simple ground beef tacos with fixing and 6 shells and it cost about $20. For $20 you could go to On the Border and get two taco entrees along with free chips and salsa maybe even some rice and beans as well.
  6. You can throw it in my dumpster at work if you’re ever up in this area...
  7. My old delivery driver never uses an ATM machine before. He said he always goes inside the bank to get cash cause he didn’t want to pay interest. So dumb..good at pushing rocks in cemeteries
  8. Root do you ever get groceries delivered online or like one of those services that delivers meals with recipes packaged in ice??
  9. Nice happy ending and Salty the above example is not a reason to not buy online. Shit happens..
  10. Seriously you have Salty on ignore...his recent trip to Montana and Wyoming was like a Jack Kerouac novel...badass!!!
  11. Well then they should replace them and pay for your return shipping.
  12. Yes we take tracing paper and rub it with a tennis ball over the lettering for duplicates...I’ll shoe you how to do a rubbing at blue sometime..
  13. If I had a gun to my head and had to change a tire I’d die. I’m actually the only person in my immediate family that checks tire pressure and adds air to the tires...the rest have it done by the attendant at a full service gas station. I’ve also never been able to tie a tie. I tried from YouTube videos and failed. Luckily I never wear a tie anymore. I haven’t worn one in 15 years. Sadly you can deduct the cost of a new window out of the employees paycheck. Off to a cemetery to do a rubbing, photo and measurements..now that’s something I can do and I can use a screwdriver. When I first started delivery driver asked me to hand him the Phillips and I said,”Huh”...lol
  14. The guy who cuts the grass at my work makes the equivalent of $25 an hour(he told me) but the kicker is he works 12 hour days and 7 days a week 6 months out of the year and in the winter gets a temp gig at the amazon warehouse. Millionaire next door he’s not but he makes a decent living.
  15. I used to mow the lawn at my parents house and the tombstone company. I don’t miss it at all.
  16. What would you have done??? Anyway sounds like some of the guys who work for you are a few fries short of a happy meal but most intelligent people aren’t out paving on 93 degree days.
  17. Well he can’t call ghostbusters with no phone.
  18. You’ll be gucci!!! I remember you did an 11+ hour day at Blue the true..that was badass!!
  19. I’ll never hate on any bodies job. Unless you’re really rich you either have to work or be homeless/on welfare. I sometimes envy those who are overnight stockers at Target or Costco..sure it’s lowish pay but also low stress!!!! New page whoop whoop
  20. I’ve been lucky that the last 14 years I’ve worked at the tombstone company business has always been good. Our worst year was about 70% as much business as our best year so things are pretty consistent. The fact that we have a solid network of dealers helps and also the fact that the business has been in existence since 1929. Not to toot my own horn but I’m a really good sales person. I’m good at creating value and urgency without being blatantly persuasive. I know one gentleman who has a franchise of 8 monument companies in Long Island/NYC and North Jersey. When he had one shop I’m sure he did well likely made very low 6 figures but he was hungry for more and bought up other monument companies and now he sells the most memorial stones of anybody in the northeast. He likely makes over $1 million a year in income/profit and is about 55 years old. He’s also from a rich family but work is his passion. He lives to work. I work to live. I couldn’t imagine opening franchises..that’s where major risk comes in and I already had my unsuccessful stint as a gambler...maybe I’m complacent but I like the way things are now. Off to karaoke. Ski season is soon. Sorry for the threadjack.
