k2rider2690 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 i think this should be for season pass holders only otherwise it is going to be so crowed
sexkitten Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Shush about season passes. BC needs as many people there as they can get.
k2rider2690 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 no they dont its free, there not making any money so it doesnt matter
Justin Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 It's going to be like the MC jam, but full of very angry BC passholders. ~20 minutes per jib.
petter369 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 thats going to be sick, too bad i have to work..sounds like a lot of fun though...what type of features will you have?
supertrooper12 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 this is going to be very cool....and yes it should be season pass holders only but thanks for doing something for us bear creek.
ThinkSnow Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 I like that BC keeps trying to do SOMETHING to keep people interested during this crappy weather. A lot of mountains are just sitting back and waiting, but BC keeps trying little things to generate interest. Keep it up BC, it's bound to get colder at some point!
Papasteeze Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 nice move in spite of this weather, props!!!
nick Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 YEAHHHHHH!!!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!!! sooo ughhh any idea about what rails were gonna be looking at for the jam??? not that it matters as long as i get to ride at bear!!!

Bear Creek PR Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 I'll make sure to get the release form online tomorrow so you can download and have it signed before the rail jam. Thanks, Mary
skidude Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 To Mark, Mary, and the rest of BC You guys all rock! Its great to see all the stuff your doing even when your not making money!!!!
k2rider2690 Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) thanks mary that would be awesome cuz my dads having surgery so my parents cant take but i can get a ride so having that release online would be amazing! Edited January 3, 2007 by mikey
Mixilplix Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 The more people they get there, the more food/drink they sell(if the caf. is open-I know the bar will be) This is a great event if your into rails.
k2rider2690 Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 any word on what boxes or rails we can expect?
snowgangsta Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 try to get out the down flat down and the 420 box, some flat stuff to that would be sick. probaly not enough snow for all that stuff to be out.
sexkitten Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 no they dont its free, there not making any money so it doesnt matter BC keeps trying little things to generate interest. Interest not money is the thing here. Oh, and concessions too... $10.00 slices of pizza Mark... there is your cash cow.
Bear Creek PR Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 The Competition Release Form is now up on our website on the Forms and Releases page here.
johnnypowder Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Interest not money is the thing here. Oh, and concessions too... $10.00 slices of pizza Mark... there is your cash cow. hey, i was at the waking the snow gods party last friday and the concession prices were more than reasonable! the personal pizzas were under $5 each. trust me, i was thankful since i had the kids with me and they each ended up having a pizza, an ice cream, a soda, some candy, etc... and the beer was only $3.25 which is more than reasonable. they are doing everything they can to keep their employees working, their customers coming to the mtn and should be applauded! it's more about good will for all concerned than making up for lost money. none of the resorts can possibly make up for what has been lost this winter even if we get dumped on the end of this month and it stays cold into late march. good job Mark and Mary and everyone at BC!
BC-Mark Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Thanks for all the continued support. We are definitely having a rough spell but we continue to remain optimistic about the remainder of the season...despite the gloomy 10-day forecast. I got pretty excited this morning when I woke up to a 26F reading, only to came up to the mountain to discover our lowest reading all night was 31.3 and our lowest wet-bulb temperature was 30.1, a full 2 degrees above the maximum for snowmaking! It seems our sacrifice of homemade wooden skis was not enough to appease the gods. We might have to step up the offerings. I am almost afraid to ask this crowd, but any thoughts on the next step?
