Boyer Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 yo dude. i came downstairs at 630 am to pop some nuggets into the oven befor work. i let the oven preheat as i was gettin dressed and came downstairs and it was full of smoke. the damn cleaning lady left one of those dish scouring pads in there... what the heck was she thinkin'? can't beleive the alarm didnt go off. well, i'll check you and the homies if blue plans on opening again this season, which i heard from a reliable source is not going to happen. the palmerton trailer park is moving in.
Ski Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 The cleaning lady should be pissed that you don't have a self-cleaning oven.
Stevo Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 My one friend said blue's not reopening. I think (and hope) it's total bullshit. He said it's "$60,000" to blow snow for one night. Horseshit.
method9455 Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 I've heard numbers in the tens of thousands per night for snowmaking. That is probably legit. Blue not opening for the rest of the season, definitely not legit.
toast21602 Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 that fat whore. what the hell. are you back at school? i should start moving my crap back.
skifreak Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Snowmaking is expensive, no doubt about it. The average cost for a ski area around here of this size might cost $500-$1500 per hour to run. The price mainly depends on the type of snowgun and the area it covers. The biggest kill is electricity, and that not just for the snowmaking equipment, but the trail lights. Even though blue mainly uses older air/water technology I can assure you that it is not $60K per night to run.
Cadillac Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 It's just money. They easily cover snowmaking expense if they can get open for MLK Day
snorovr Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 Weather Channel forecast is for more 60 degree days come the weekend...
