Ski
The cleaning lady should be pissed that you don't have a self-cleaning oven.
Stevo
My one friend said blue's not reopening. I think (and hope) it's total bullshit. He said it's "$60,000" to blow snow for one night. Horseshit.
method9455
I've heard numbers in the tens of thousands per night for snowmaking. That is probably legit. Blue not opening for the rest of the season, definitely not legit.

skifreak
Snowmaking is expensive, no doubt about it. The average cost for a ski area around here of this size might cost $500-$1500 per hour to run. The price mainly depends on the type of snowgun and the area it covers. The biggest kill is electricity, and that not just for the snowmaking equipment, but the trail lights. Even though blue mainly uses older air/water technology I can assure you that it is not $60K per night to run.
supertrooper12
yes, 60,000 is insane.
Cadillac
It's just money. They easily cover snowmaking expense if they can get open for MLK Day
