Has anyone been to Whistler? I'm looking to February 27 - March 4'ish with my brother + a friend from college.

We have a hotel booked near the Gondola but I'm mostly curious about the shuttle from Vancouver to Whistler...

The drive from Vancouver to Whistler was pretty nice when we were there. Got to stop at a waterfall and get a lifestyle shot of @toast21602on the shoreline. Heard stories it could be spicy if the weather is bad though.

2. Went up today to pick up my kid’s pass and look for @Benmbut only found the pass. Impressive amount of snow and can confirm Paradise has snow. Valley open on opening weekend?!

Under 6 passes changed as others stated before. No more tubing included, cost $25, and are not good at CB.

3. Went to Lipkin Theater NCC Saturday with the wife after a dinner date at 21 Crafthouse. Had to get the Spanakopita Turkey Meatballs when I saw it on the menu in honor of @MrsSnowBunSki and her spanakopita. I thought the movie was good and got the stoke level rising. Made me wish I skied Snow King when I was out there. I walked there one morning before my flight out but they wanted like $60 and I only had a hour so I passed. It was good to see @enjoralas and pops and kind of funny they sat right next to us without seeing us.

4. Does anyone know details about the Child Pass at Blue (for kids 5 and under)?
It says $25 on the site but I'm trying to figure out if that includes tubing.
The livechat person doesn't seem ... very alive.

Free season pass for kids under 6 and season passes include tubing.

I think they have to be under 6 before January 15th? @enjorales might know the exact date from dealing with them recently.

We thought we would be tubing all the time with our little one but the only time we went she took 2 runs and said nope. It was a little bumpy that night but we’ll try again this season.

Edit* At least from my experience. Not sure with the sale if it has changed
5. Speaking as a resident of Vermont, where the state says it's legal to grow and share within certain weight limits and it's ubiquitous and generally socially-accepted: you still need to be careful about drug testing at work and federal laws and such.
I just took a job across the border in NH and had to go through a 12-panel drug test. Their policy stated that they abide by federal law, regardless of the laws in the state where you live. So if I'd tested positive for marijuana (whew) I would have been denied the job. It can be easy to get a little complacent when you live somewhere where it's legal, so just an fyi.

Only for the hiring process correct? Or do they continually test?

It’s surprising how many places around here have dropped drug testing during the labor shortage.

6. I'm thinking SUJOPO tonight. Allentown's a far drive in the pouring rain and then back home in the pitch dark. There are a lot of big mountains to drive over. It's almost hunting season and I might hit a deer. My Sonic had a flat tire this morning and I should probably wait a day or two before driving on it.

I wanted to talk to a pilot tonight jerk

7. passes are back, 729
"Due to popular demand, we will be releasing another round of season passes on Friday, October 15th at 10am. Quantities are extremely limited- once this quantity is sold out, there will be no more passes added for 2021/22 season. "
looks almost like a black friday scenario where you have to be at your comp clickin like a maniac.

Fuuuuuck this is my punishment for falling of the grid a bit lol lol

I don't really care what it costs if it's reasonable but never have they ever limited passes and I've had one for like I don't know how many years.

I'll keep checking and hopefully I can snag a pass.

My kid’s school posted about $599 all day passes through the school ski club. Try this link https://group.shopskibluemt.com/group/register/1cda8def-f99c-49aa-8bde-e4a00ed6bc27

9. It would actually work out splendid for those who have purchased passes, if they didnt sell anymore.  But i cant see any good logic to not selling any more passes.  Maybe they are just trying to draw a line financially with purchases made before the buyout/merger/namechange/landgrab/newmanagement/sameoldsameold and purchases made after what ever it is they are calling this whole deal.
When they do come out, and i think they will, they will be very Elk-esk.

Only thing I can think of is they want the single day ticket instead of the season pass. They spend more per day. So if they lower the pool of season passes, daily ticket sales will be higher and easier to manage. Same company that makes people pay to park(and not tailgate) so I don’t think they care about locals.
10. that's the big question.
but if they'd do eight hours/wk, that'd be workable enough to stick around one weekend day after a morning session.

When I worked in tubing is was upgraded to 16 hour minimum/two shifts a week to keep the pass active. That was a while ago so it may have changed.

11. Due to the advance ticket sales I feel like there were less weather related closures this last season. I know mute1080 skied in the rain a few times.

Had a couple of our best days in the rain since Boo and I were trying to avoid crowds most of the time.
