What a stoke stomper. Managed 3 runs in about 90 minutes and the lines kept getting longer. On top of 1 lift running they weren’t filling chairs, and no VIP line. Snow and parking lot was good.
Highlift of the morning was @Benmand his lift Dino nuggets.
They posted they were sold out but it was already too late. Someone posted on FB that they still had $165 tickets available.

you sure he wasnt getting confused with switchback? i know i always do.
i wish it took like 12 hrs to open either one of them.
He said it on the MSE when we could see Switchback and said we had to go on the quad to see Sidewinder. We were perplexed 🤷🏼♂️

My guess is when the sun went away the snow firmed up plus more traffic scrapes the loose snow. Looks a lot busier on webcams. I’m ready for the early open tomorrow boom boom boom.
Buses were rolling in 330-4

Seriously main street was glacial by 3?
More Midway. Sides of the Main Street weren’t terrible but who knew a shadow could be so dark

Whatever you’re smoking pass it this way…crossover to lower razors lol.
Guy on the lift this afternoon was telling us he thinks their big secret opening this weekend is Sidewinder. Wild. No blowing on it except Crossover which doesn’t really make sense since Falls hasn’t even been attempted yet.

On the snow at 3. Did talk to a BMR employee and confirmed Coming Soon will be closed for training both mornings.
’Twas bad. Some new blown snow on the sides but mostly glacial brick. Did pick up my newly mounted sticks so stoke is high. Still blowing so might be there first 24 hour blow job of the season?!
Did notice they are blowing the backside of tubing that connects to finish line? Never saw that before and can’t figure out why. Second pic below

Am I correct that a snorkel may be required on Tuesday?

Hey All,
I’m back from another morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 830am and it was 36 degrees under cloudy sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, TP4 and the Bethlehem ford crew.
First took the super summit safari six pack to easy out vista midway to lower main and the snow was pretty nice and smooth with a some mini cookies on lower Main Street. Repeated that two more times then took the quad to coming soon which was similar smooth and mini cookies but pretty pleasant. Lower Paradise is still pretty thin and upper paradise is now open. Repeating coming soon two more times and then ended a quick 7 run session on midway to lower Main Street.
They might get upper Main Street open for the weekend and definitely lazy will be back as tonight will be very good snowmaking conditions. Plus the 3-6” of snow we get overnight Saturday will make for some nice packed powder once the groomers do their thing.

Thanks for the trash can lifestyle shots

It's already been downgraded to just be 6 inches total. Trust the Buoy
So your saying it'll just be an average snow storm?

I did notice the handwritten sign threatening to pull your pass if you throw snowballs at riders below the lift. Not sure when that went up. Must’ve been this week
Can we change it to “Snowball throwing only allowed at people not moving and blocking Shuttle”? Two birds, one stone kind of thing

That must be what the backpacks are for. I always thought they were just being cautious of avy danger

regarding the trash, I hate seeing it and hated taking pics of it. No ski area (let alone blue), no mountain, nothing nature deserves that.
Friday they had 4 workers in the parking lot picking trash in the afternoon. Just so happened to be a day-ish after your rant so keep them coming, hopefully they’re reading

I did see them reply to a comment they were 'hoping' to be open everyday starting today. Doesn't sound or look good from the reports today SAD

He flew over my house twice but texted me too late. Fortunately I heard an aerocraft this morning while drinking coffee and caught his Piper Cherokee a few minutes after he flew over Eagle Rock. Yes, I worked there. My brah, Ryan, and also, @mute1080 golf at Eagle Rock.
Thanks for reminding me. It didn't click right away that it was the same place.
