looks like guns are starting to shut down. only a couple still on. that was a pretty good run. debating going down and getting some pics from the valley but prob wont happen.
  2. is it normal to have gondolas and chairs on the same lift??? also, there's a backhoe that's been going to town at the top of burma. hoping its not a problem...
  3. i will bring you some mulled whiskey instead.

Hasn't been active for at least a month. Main street cam went vertical maybe a week ago.
  5. No, this was either shoprite or weis, I can't remember.
  6. maybe... something bizarre is happening. either people are noticing it and buying or they are removing dates. 4hr AM - dec 4, all days starting dec 10 4hr mid - all days starting dec 10 4hr PM - all days starting dec 10 except dec 24 8hr - Nov 26, 27, 30. Dec 1, all days starting dec 10
  7. blue has first availability for tix set for fri. dec. 3. looking at the 10 day, there seems to be plenty of opportunity for marginal snowmaking. im guessing it'd be very limited terrain, but crossing my fingers for it to happen. for some reason they never updated the 8hr tix which are being sold for today and prior. the 4hr tix are all starting on the third.
  8. easiest is to mix everything except the liquor in a crock pot until its boiling. then reduce temp and add liquor. wahtever you dont drink can be stored in the fridge and lightly reheated in the microwave if impatient you want to start drinking asap or warmed up on the stove. i didn't want to create yet another post correcting myself, but there was no add'l orange juice. sorry, i was still waking up. also it was missing raisins in the photo. pic here in crock pot - https://photos.app.goo.gl/UEh7fdPw1LxfCJ9h6 - you'll notice i mixed everything in at once. i don't recommend that. took almost the whole night to heat up and i had to keep temping to avoid overheating. now i do it the way i mentioned and then leave it on 'keep warm' for a half the day.
  9. couldn't edit that in time so needed a new post. @Schif this is what's in mine (plus some add'l OJ).
  10. at 20-25abv, i don't think it'd be the best idea before driving home. half is bottom shelf 101 proof whiskey. ...that doesn't mean i won't bring some for sampling though.
  11. Four queens is mandatory. The rest is a bunch of citrus and spices. Served warm. Think of a cider.
  12. Thanks for reminding me that I need to make some boilo.

Yeah I think temps will be good enough for them to squeak that in. At least I hope.

im on top of that too. Haven't checked the snowblowers and the cutting deck is still on the riding mower instead of the plow.

If that's true, I'm glad I picked up stuff last night instead of procrastinating. I'm also doing my part, and hung up Xmas lights already in an effort to expedite the first snowfall. I think that's some sort of superstition people have.
  16. Took me a second but that was fuckin funny.
  17. i can think of a few good roads. main one being 115 from sierra view down to maybe hellers, the one you mentioned to jonas, toll road from the top before it goes uphill near the end. a shame they'd be plowed but one can dream lol
  18. Lol fuck those skis. I'll never touch them again. Debating getting a dupe of what I have now for shitting around.
  19. honestly i could see employees getting access to both since maybe the employer is the same? i cant say the same for senior/child passes. taht's crazy since they're already getting a steep discount. make them get a pass to both.
  20. everyone missed the 'a lot of work' part except @JFskiDan. not to mention, i don't have a pair of skis to destroy. i've been eyeing up some stuff around here like @toast21602 's gasline run. one (40.98704933550026, -75.4907428289591) looks awesome but sucks because entry is in ind ian moun tain l akes, which is gated, but i may have entry close enough to walk. according to GIS, no one owns a little strip that would get me in - walking - from public property. it's close enough that there wouldn't be time to call po-po and my ride can be at bottom (jonas rd). the other is at the top of sie rra view (40.9976666989348, -75.45552389398952) . former has a lot more vert and distance but latter is straight line down (and i can access easily). wife could drive no problem, both very close. @GrilledSteezeSandwich
  21. sounds like a lot of work. we'd also need a lot of snow.
  22. i sort of feel like it'd be depressing with a lot of snow and not being able to ski it.
  23. would a a snow bomb even help at this point? all i really want is 3-4 sub zero days in a row.
  24. gotta get one of these jawns. life changing.
