  1. At party day, I was chatting with @Johnny Law So i made these for pond skim day and jammed out to Here Comes The Sixers while painting 🎶 As unofficial pasr judges of pond skimming…. 1) does anyone want numbers? should I make another set? 2) do I add glitter? … and if we don’t get to use them for pond skimming, I’m just going to hold them up to rate @GrilledSteezeSandwich’s dog jokes or @enjoralas’s cooking 🤷🏼‍♀️🎉
  2. Jawnee would make a great billboard This billboard is in Philly…. and by far my least favorite of the Jawn billboard category Jawnee would be a cooler billboard than someone calling themselves “Jawn Morgan” 🙄
  3. Just ended a sess at Blue with @Schif we cooked some eggplant parm, packed the car, and showed up at 7pm. We saw @mbike-skiand @MrsSnowBunSki In the lot. MBike only had 1 ski though… beautiful night. I thought ROTN was challenge. Schif thought ROTN was sidewinder. After skiing, I drank some leftover $9 wine and Schif had a breckenridge porter. Ended the night with eggplant parm in the parking lot. Solid night. Driving to West Pittston for the weekend. Passed the roller skating rink. Holy shit! That place is popping for 10pm on Friday.
  4. Nice single heal piece shot 😂
  5. What’s better… Burt & Ernie beds? Or Bunkbeds though?
  6. Haha true. When you’re driving 3-4 hours round trip every time, it makes you factor in other details. i thought about doing another month Airbnb rental in Utah for like $1000 and skiing on the Ikon again. But I’m likely switching jobs so I’m not sure how entirely flexible their “unlimited pto” is. So I opted against being a vegabond skier again. 🤷🏼‍♀️
  7. Nope. At the same time though, Vail offers different l options and benefits. They’ve created a “vacation destination” vibe. (Thank god blue hasn’t). The market share for people who like vacations is larger than the market share of a local ski mountain near allentown with ugh speed lights. Vail Resorts found 2.1 million people to buy advanced passes…. When you change the market share that you’re playing in, it effects the pricing elasticity.
  8. I'm going to geek out about economics for a moment and no one will care. So, thanks for letting me vent Average household income doesn't always dictate what people will spend on recreation activities. It's all about the price elasticity. Spending $650 on a ski pass is totally normal in Colorado and Utah. Most PASRs, myself included, have multiple passes but we're not the norm. I think the price jump will scare away the average person and families in Pennsylvania. Instead of average household income ... I'm curious what the average number of days Blue Mountain pass holders get. We know the PASR and 70+ contingent are getting 30+ days. What about everyone else? I'm going to bet that looking at the total population of pass holders, the average person gets 4-6x days a season. Which, if you're someone who skis 4-6x a season -- it makes the price point more of a tipping point and makes something like a Blue Mountain pass more price elastic.
  9. I think it's incredibly dumb ... to suggest that more people use things like credit cards, especially for non-essentials.
  10. PASR people have the community at Blue. For sure. But for non PASRs who drive 4 hours round trip from Philly or New Jersey... I think the price hike (so early) over the past 3-years will deter people. It really tests the price elasticity of the market.
  11. Saw this… charcuteski on Instagram and seriously thought about doing it for the PASR party But I really think it’s the snow and the views that make the photo so bomb https://www.instagram.com/p/CZzioWMllGg/?utm_medium=copy_link
  12. @toast21602 - this is kinda interesting! (1) There's a ski mountain in Alabama?!! (2) The average pass price (in Pennsylvania for those who have released so far) is $456. (3) 8 mountains in PA released pricing but 20 mountains haven't yet.
  13. I’m going to bring some precooked pierog’s. Will have a side grill to keep them warm on.
  14. I did. jk. I just kept going straight until gps rerouted me. 🤷🏼‍♀️
  15. I made fun of the wahoo the sonic going in reverse but I didn’t tell the part of the story where my 4wd suv couldn’t tackle this hill on the way home. 😐
  16. I drove from Philly. The turnpike was reminiscent of Whistler … foggy and a mix of rain/snow. I passed the BMDI and as I started going up, a little car like a sonic decided to go in reverse down the hill … so that was fun. near the AT lots, there were 2 caravans that looked like they got into a fender. a bunch of wahoooooos out there with bald tires and tiny cars. eventually showed up around 9:15 and the gang entertained Wally as I got ready. “free refills” - salty said “Head wall is spicy but the rest of Challenge is great” - Atomic said so at 10’ish, i got off the 6-pack lift and it felt like I had skins on the bottom of my skis coupled with a crazy strong headwind. For all of those who missed the joy of skiing today, this is what it looked like at Challenge. Any new snow was being blown around on top of ice . There were piles of delightttful snow on sidewinder (if you avoided the ice). But overall it was super slow snow. JADIP?
  17. If you go sandboarding, do you still add it to the tracker though, @Schif? 🏂 But also, we do have a @Johnny Law .. Seems like the lawyer would be the most qualified to make an decree or PASR court order -- more qualified than any MBAs or doctors.
  18. Great pics! But ... they almost need a caption contest over all them......
  19. That's so weird. I'm going to quit PASR now. You're back to like 2 other females on this site - Barb & MamaSkis
  20. Thursday, checkout was at 12 so we put the baggage in storage and went skiing. I skied my atomics and I’m glad I did. They’re a bit wider underfoot and made floating down Whistler Bowl more fun. I skied the runs off of Peak Express including Whistler Bowl and Peak to Creek. my legs were burning. On my way down from Peak to Creek I saw a lil’ reading rainbow 🌈 while @Schifis in Dubai looking for a lamp with a genie, I was looking for a pot of gold. after the top to bottom, leg burn .. I did the Whistler Bowl. It was fun but the pitch was steeper than I usually like. Glad I did it though. At one point, it was super foggy and couldn’t see anything. ROTD was Grand Finale / Doom & Gloom in Whistler bowl although I about shit my pants. Had The Rolling Stones song stuck in my head 👅 skied from morning through 3pm. I rushed down to the bottom. Freshened up. Got my bags, heated up some ‘noods, and lugged my bags to the 4pm shuttle. again, the skylynx shuttle was clean and easy. Unfortunately it was full so I didn’t love sharing a seat. the views on the drive were incredible. If I were to do it with a bigger group than just me & brother, I would definitely rent a car to see the sights along the way. got settled into a hotel near the airport. Brian’s flight was at 8:30am on Friday and mine was 7am on Saturday morning.
  21. Wednesday night, I went to Crystal Lounge. Kinda funky to find but it’s right next to Old Spaghetti Factory. i liked the scene. It was chill but cozy. Thanks for the recommendation @toast21602! we got salads + nachos. Salads were good. Nachos were ehh. Then we came back for 2nd dinner and got wings since they were $0.10 (I think) Followed by hot tub life.
  22. On Wednesday - Got the day started and my brother was scrolling Reddit. He saw this guy at Whistler when he was on peak express yesterday. The entire chair lift was hyped for him yesterday. Check out this link below! Reddit - Whistler skiier On Wednesday morning, I started up on Excalibur Gondola - Excelerator lift. The Tbar wasn’t open yet so we were doing laps on the Blackcomb side for a bit. When it opened, we headed over to Glacier Express. It had a sign that shows the length of the line and visibility which I really think is wrong 🤷🏼‍♀️ Did the TBar. Met some guys from West Chester & Hershey in line. This was probably the longest line of the trip. Hiked up a short bit and looked down at the Blackcomb Bowl. I take a similar pic at every resort so I had too 🤷🏼‍♀️ It was fluffy, deep, and you could really float. It felt like the backside of Snowbird on a powder day. The snow in Blackcomb Bowl was amazing and the ROTD. Loved it ❤️ We stayed to the right, kept our skis high, and hiked went down. It was wild. I overheard a guy show how much it’s receded in recent years… yikes Continued to ski down and bounce around on the Blackcomb side. it was humbling and yet another awesome day in Whistler.
  23. When was the last time you were at blue? a few of us have a free buddy pass if you want to check out Blue Mountain this season. if you’re cool, it’s a good scene.
