I taught my girls at 3. If you're going to teach yours get a harness to help them on and off the lift and tip locks, that will keep them in a wedge. At 6 they pick it up much faster.

Alpine on a weekend is better, since there's less people there. I would avoid Blue, CB and Shawnee on a weekend. JF is also less crowded and friends of ours had great results with private lessons there.

yep. I'm getting used to the ride. JF is so easy to get to. BB will be also, once the new exit is open.

It was OK...last night's rain didn't help. I was approached by a snowmaker in the lot who said they were going to fire the guns back up at 3. Tomorrow should be better, but I wont be there.

VT, I'll have to come back here once every couple weeks, plus my kids will still be in school and my wife will still be teaching. I'd be very happy in vt.

I'm stuck in the fish bowl. My wife and I are both at the top of our pay scales and after superstorm sandy I now own the largest pressure washing business in cape may county, maybe even all of south jersey. If I could snap my fingers and live this life out there I would, best case scenario is me being done teaching when I'm 45 and be able to spend my winters in vt.

Absolutely. If I didn't have little kids I would go there on weekends.

If I only went out west once or twice a year it would make for a boring winter in oc.

If I could go midweek I'd be a blue pass holder.

It's always worth it...I drive 3 hours to get to boulder.

Boulder is great for early risers. Probably 90% of the regulars sleep till ten, head to the mountain at 11, hang in the lot till 12 and then head towards the lift.

I'm assuming BB will open on Friday at noon and Saturday at 8. But who knows what will be open. I think 2-5 trails for Saturday and JF open for the season on the 7th.
