    Elk PASR Day 2019

I see what you tried to do here. Not quite the same but good effort. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Oohhh is that the $5 bottle of Desani?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Ok Salty. I guess I will give you a pass then. Hope you enjoyed WP! I have a soft spot for that mountain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. There are plenty of ways to get back to Mary Jane!! Outhouse, Drunken Frenchmen, Sober Englishmen, Mary Jane trail. Look at a trail map man!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Salty just stay at WP tomorrow Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. nevermind,
  7. Village Way is the absolute worst! I feel your pain.
  8. That rock slide was near Glenwood Springs. Won’t affect his drive to Loveland or Copper
  9. FYI you can ski back to the WP side from the base of Super gauge. It’s a little uphill but go around the base lodge and you will get there. Easier than taking the shuttle. Sorry TP4, just realized I am shitting up your awesome Aspen thread. Thought this was Salty’s thread. I’m blaming it on him for posting his stuff in here 😉
  10. This is the week for awesome trip reports! Except for Salty’s His sucks so far. Salty you can redeem yourself with pictures (not of your lunch).
  11. Like those couches made of ice. All pictures fantastic. Makes me want to go back to Europe ASAP.
  12. There are plenty of runs on the Mary Jane side my friends and I call “non committal bumps.” One side bumped up and anytime you want to bail just move over to other side of trail that is non bumped. I have been forcing myself to try them more and more this season. I still suck at them, but am no longer scared of them. Give it a try.
  13. There was a PT on one of my meetup hikes this summer. She works in Vail and said that the new trend is to get people doing Pt very soon after surgeries. Most of her patients have their operations in Vail and come for Pt the very next day. Good luck with your recovery. I feel like a positive attitude is half the battle and sounds like you have that covered.
  14. Winter Park has a lot of fun terrain. You could definitely spend 3 days there. They don’t groom much. Mid week should be pretty empty. Enjoy!
  15. Great pictures.
  16. Antman so sorry. Injuries are so frustrating. Heal up quick. I enjoyed all your reports and pictures.
  17. Parsenn Bowl is fun and has great views.
  18. You are right, that’s why I said everyone should go there to check it out. For me the town just feels phony. It’s a real town, not like Vail, but I personally don’t like the vibe there. I am glad you enjoy your time there. Like I said, it’s is a beautiful area and I still hope to ski there someday.
  19. I have never skied Aspen but would like to. I disagree about the town. Each time I go I get more and more put off. I LOVE the area and the hiking but would not stay in Aspen proper again if I had my choice. Basalt, Carbondale, Redstone are all better choices in my opinion. But everyone should go to Aspen at least once just to check it out. Keep up the reports with pics TP4 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. That guy Zane is from Avalon, NJ. Splits his time between Aspen and NJ. We have a Taste of Philly here in Boulder. Used to get food there often when we moved here since it reminded the kids of home. That is until one night we all got food poisoning from the chicken Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. You could be like this guy. Taken at Denver airport (not by me) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. The buddy passes are now only 20% off window rates and the pass holder has to be there to use them. No more printing them out, sadly.
  23. What does it say about me that I saw this title (authored by Doug) and didn’t think it was about skiing?
  24. Better shot of the competition wall with someone on it for scale. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Woke up this morning feeling pretty sore. Since today was my free clinic I decided to let my friend use it since she had not signed up for any and was just using the free wall. I did a few routes on the free wall today. There was a competition goin gin that I watched for a while. Those athletes did some insane moves! Competition route. Ice, then rock, then more ice, then man made holds. Next year we may skip the festival and hire a private instructor for a day, then climb ourselves a day. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
