Avalanche on Vail Pass closed I-70 in both directions.

The wind here is insane today. Paper said 80mph gusts. My son's school made them line up in the hallway for a tornado drill.

http://www.denverpost.com/2017/01/09/crested-butte-mountain-resort-closed-too-much-snow/ Crested Butte closed today due to too much snow.

Gss I think they use a brine solution on the highways. But nobody is coming to plow my street, that I know. Up to my knees in the street.

Just saw someone cross country skiing down my street. Lol

Hahaha no snowblower.

Thanks I am a little sore after yesterday but not too bad. Seems like the back injections really started to kick in after week 3. This is week 4 and I am feeling pretty good. Trying to be smart and not push it so today probably just do yoga once the roads clear a bit. If I waited for my son to shovel I would probably get a ticket from the city. The only thing you can count on from teenage boys is infecting your house with nasty smells.

Light powder. Was so easy to shovel I decided to be a good citizen and do my two older neighbor's sidewalks too.

Only pic I took was on the drive home. Visibility was very poor but the snow was awesome! Eldora showed 10" in last 24 hours this morning. It was absolutely puking all day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

^Thanks, not too bad. Its been almost 2 weeks, full benefits supposed to kick in 4-6 weeks. I now know what a level 2 pain scale feels like, which is pretty amazing. I have good days and bad and they said that is to be expected. The real test will be when I am back to 100% with my workouts, right now I am doing about 60%. Tried an easy yoga class a week ago but I think it had too much twisting and hurt a lot. Gonna try again this week and maybe an easier hike this weekend. I am very optimistic it is gonna work!

Signed up for a 6 week women's clinic at Eldora. If they can't whip me into shape there is no hope.

It's pretty good up here. Taking it easy because of my back. Found an old thread on TGR about doing drills for getting out of the backseat. Making slow deliberate turns on green runs trying to lift he tail of my inside ski. I can feel the difference that my hips are more forward. We shall see how that translates to blues. Who is between Jeff and TP4?

I feel for you! I hate being sidelined.

I never went in winter either only in summer on the motorcycle. My husband has some serious skills on the bike, those streets in Ouray are quite slanted to the curbs. Parking the bike was interesting.

Seems like the "no down time" I was told about applies to going back to work. F*ck!!! Pre procedure doc asked me if I had any questions. I said when can I return to normal activity? He asked me what was normal. I said skiing, yoga, hiking and told him I am supposed to go ice climbing Saturday. The doc, anesthesiologist and nurse just looked at me with blank faces. The doc was pretty cool and when they walked away he said if it were him he would want to know that answer too. Said if i have no pain I can go. Looking over the post op instructions it says "If activity causes pain more than a 2/10 you are doing too much." If I had a pain score of 2 I would feel awesome so not sure how to guage that. Lol. The first 3 days I am basically supposed to do no exercise. If anyone is interested in the particulars of the procedure; yesterday had 17 viles of blood drawn (more than I thought). They separate the platelets/plasma (looks yellow). I asked the nurse how many injections I was getting she said at least 10 but wasn't sure. They injected ligaments, muscles and affected disk. Doc said I have severe arthritis in left side of my spine so warned me that side would be more tender. When I woke up I immediately had a muscle spasm that caused me to have tears streaming down my face before I knew what was happening. Gave me a shot of Fentenol, worked instantly. Also gave me a Percocet before I left. So right now, I just feel sore, no pain. Really have to rethink the ice climb this weekend. But don't worry Ridge Racer, I am going to the Ouray Ice festival next month complete with plenty of clinics. I will write up a full report on that if I dont make it Sat!

So I lived in "gaudy summer home" territory.
