  1. Nothing new today. More storms approaching.
  2. Yeah, you northerners really look like you are gonna get walloped a couple times here tonight.
  3. overall the radar looks worse than last night. .
  4. Dammit i still wanna BBQ!!!! Right now everything looks like it will be over filling the ponds at Blue, and sprinkling on My BBQ. All that could change though. My sophisticated radar shows all the warning are north of me right now.
  5. I would say i had more severe weather alerts on my phone last night than ever before. Radar had 3 areas of red converging on me, but it seems like it fizzled out a little before it was right on top of me. My decision not to grill last night was still a good one, though.
  6. I'm jealous. you know i wanna come play in your basement sometime. I love that stuff. A friend of mine heats his house with an outdoor wood boiler. His basement looks like the inside of a submarine. some cool shit going on down there too.
  7. Hybrids are great. I have NG, which is crazy cheap now, but of course that can change. Probably in the near future i will need to be looking at this closer as the HVAC in the house was probably installed 10 years ago.
  8. Kinda depends if you have to replace the air handler as well. Lots of people will tell you that you have to replace both, but its not always the case. Unless you have someone you really trust, get a couple different quotes/opinions. Research what people want to sell you as well. There are "RTM" systems, and then there are really good systems. Inverters and multi stage equipment are where efficiency is as. Heat pumps arent a bad way to go either. with oil heat i would take a good look at them. With gas at its current price, it might not be as enticing. I'm a huge fan of heat pumps. They have come a long way.
  9. i broke down and turned the air on in the house yesterday.
  10. didnt it sort of kinda rain like hell in your area yesterday? Dont worry. I've had our trucks buried in areas we had no reason to be, only justified by "it was a long walk to where we were working, so i thought i would get the truck closer."
  11. Like steam trains and submarines, bald eagles fascinate me. I have been watching these guys for a few months, they were hatched like late march or April. https://hdontap.com/index.php/video/stream/hanover-bald-eagle-nest-live-cam
  12. I was looking at that too. i am wondering if its a tropical illusion that it looks like that. Or, his yard is really the retention pond,, and when it fills up to the height of that drain, then it goes down the drain, probably to another retention pond. These days zoning laws and whatnot are super crazy. Basically, they want all of the water that falls on your property, to stay on your property. I was trying to build a garage at my hold house. the shit was starting to make my head spin.
  13. do you actually mow this twice, or the opposite way each time?
  14. to you, i'm sure. Do what i do when you and salty are going back and forth about fruit roll ups, or yoohoos or tampons or whatever. Stop reading.
  15. The ratio of weedeating VS lawn to cut is high at my house. i sort of have 3 seperate pieces of lawn to cut, which as you know, increases the weedeating exponetially.
  16. The guy that cut my lawn closed up shop, so i had to find someone new, which believe it or not, wasnt easy. In the meantime, my neighbor across the street was nice enough to cut mine, since it was starting to scare the rest of the neighbors. I fired up the one piece of lawn care equipment i do own, which is a weedeater, since i didnt want to be a dick just standing there watching my neighbor cut my grass. I had originally thought i might get one of those cool zero turn mowers, and cut it myself. About 10 minutes into weedeating, i realized i am a moron for letting that thought even cross my mind. I despise cutting grass.
  17. I like Dayton stuff, investigate this. can you gravity drain into something? if not, you would need the condensate pump trackbiker mentioned. The whole emptying the bucket thing to me is such a pain in the ass. i like to "set it and forget it." this Dayton is R22 so its a little older, but its my opinion R22 is better than R410. My 12 year old Ebac with R22 runs circles around the new one i got last year. Kinda like, "they dont make them like they used too..." https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/app/d/lansdowne-dehumidifier-dayton-2hnr5a/6871519107.html I bet you that you can Doug this guy down to about $150. Maybe even lower if its a female, based on what ever it is that makes weird women want to kiss you.
  18. There is a place in delaware that sells them. I will look when i get back to the office. With what i went through last year having to return a $700 dehumidifier, i would buy local if possible.
  19. My hope is that you dont need an explanation for this.
  20. I do think he was better on SNL. I dont hate all of his movies. I thought he was pretty good in "daddys home". Maybe because the movie didnt totally revolve around him? Dunno.
  21. i like to watch cars go around in circles. I get that alot of people dont get it, but i will never comprehend watching golf on TV, so to each his own. Dover is one of those tracks though, that someone who doesnt quite get it, should go to. When they start or restart the race, you sort of think to yourself, "there aint now way all those cars are going to make it around that first turn". It really looks like there will be a pile up around every turn. Unless you are going to be in the infield, dont go to Pocono expecting an interesting race. you just cant see that much of the track.
  22. Yup. thats it. I'm jealous of you.
