  1. Qualify? I qualified after my first RUN at Montage I think Yea, it's not that hard. But it's unfathomable to think that some of these guys can find SO much time. At Tanglwood, in an almost 30 second course for Ski999 and I, people are running it in 24 seconds. On something as straight as a NASTAR, even though ASRA wasn't THAT much more offset, I can't see how you could lay an arc over like these guys do, cause the turns aren't that tight. I don't get it. I don't know how i'm going to make my next step to improve? I'd rather be last in the Expert division in the state, then first in the intermediate division.
  2. yea, i think so. check out www.modernskiracing.org
  3. the #1 guy in the NATION is in his age group, and the kid is just off the pace of D-Money. I'm predicting a 2nd place finish for adam.
  4. yea, i'm hoping to buy the book when they release it.... yea, from what i read it's alot about balance from a martial arts background...but hey, when gary's #6 in the US, and his wife is #21 in the nation, they HAVE to be doing something right. Maybe next year i'll goto nationals
  5. i just don't get it. i've been trying to understand it, just it hasn't clicked yet. You probably actaully need to be at the clinic to really get a grasp of it.
  6. He's that hot! Whew, Either Gary Dranow, the king of NASTAR himself, has become slow, or else he's been teaching skidude his waist steering technique (www.modernskiracing.org), because the dude was .06 off Gary's time. That freakin rocks. Gary's official pacesetter HC is a 6, and Gary's ranked 6th out of EVERYONE in the nation, so the dude must be skiing well. We should be seeing another podium from the 'dude out at nationals... http://www.nastar.com/index.jsp?pagename=r...42694&year=2005 Gary and the 'dude were the only ones into the single digit handicaps. Whew!
  7. yea, he's already out there
  8. Montana Nice pics sib! and nice pics of the siblet
  9. any pics of Siblet racing?
  10. haha, that's funny, we said almost the exact same thing
  11. yea i know now...wednesday nights are cheap as is ($10 for the lift ticket) and it would be cheaper for me just to buy the lift tickets each night...so im not gunna bother w/ a pass.
  12. in may sometimes, most years...they've been open into june i dink
  13. quite funny to see. That gatekeeper had to chuckle when saw that....
  14. CB's NASTAR is a mid-20's course....so yea, it's longer. Montage is a high 20's course.
  15. goto nastar.com, log in, and changed your "club team" in your settings....
  16. will! change your division to recreational, you have it set as professional.
  17. fresh untracked stuff is great, but once it's been touched...
  18. nah, it's not that it's too much work, it's just that you can't lay down an arc
  19. let's just say that Steven (steezemachine) went down the headwall of Challenge, switch. That's steezey.
  20. don't you just feel like when the lifts stop?
  21. yea, even w/o twintips, skiing switch isn't hard....
  22. yea man, stay off of Little Cottonwood Canyon Road (rt 210) when there is snow. that can get nasty (you need snowtires, or chains to be in the canyon, anyway)....
  23. because snow like that is not fun. For me, the icier the better, the snow doesn't break away when you have your ski tipped on high edge and are ripping turns at mach 10
