no, its not the worst cam ever, cause there is sound. the sound is the key, i never watch CB's picture, i just listen, and i'll check to hear if i heard the legendary sound

that looks like a gun by the challenge lift we'll have to check tomorrow to see if it actually is snow

but you wax your base! so if you want to go fast, take care of your base.... your base is to skiing as tires are to your car. If you have sqaure tires, you're not going anywhere. If you have an uneven, unwaxed, unstructured base, you're going nowhere.

make sure it is NOT an iron with holes in it.

uhh, camelback says we average 50", which isn't correct, but we average over 30" i'd say.

they look to be marginal. Good is when the high is only 32. But i don't know WHEN we will see a good 24 hr snowmaking day. I guess they'll just have to do without it

I'll use the hand lotion analogy again When you use hand lotion, you want it to be absorbed into your skin, you don't want globs of white crap on your hand. Same thing with skis. You want it in the base, not ON the base. You iron it into the base, then scrape the excess that doesn't get into the base, off. You don't want to get rid of the wax thats IN the base, which is what base cleaner will do.

Nah, you'll have all the wax left over. You want to get fresh wax into the base. The wax doesn't disspear after you iron it in. It will look like nothing happened, actually. You scrape it off, it seems counter productive, but its what you do. Scraping and brushing actually help you remove stuff from the base (scraping/brushing the wax helps "pull" stuff off)

I know I don't ski on Bode's skis. But its just like Ferrari and BMW. I don't drive BMW's F1 race car (or Bode's Skis), but technology and inovations from their race programs funnel down into production use (the skis I do ski on). Technology that was used to produce my high revving inline-6 in the M3 was derived from their racing program. It doesn't matter if I don't ski on the real thing, but when its tried and proven in a racing environment, it has a way of finding its way down into production use.

If Atomic offered him the same as Rossi did, but he saw everyone that was on Atomics doing alot better then him, its a no brainer, definatly go with Atomics. As Ski999 said, his daughter and most of her team chose Volkls, that's probably why Skidude skis them too. Ski999 and I ski Atomics cause they are real man skis.

You forget to mention the best cars in the world are made in Italy, so why aren't Nordica the best? Ferrari? Lamborghini? And don't you worry, Bode isn't stupid to sign w/ a company that wouldn't benifiet his career. Looks like he made the right choice.

I've heard some great things about Greek Peak. A admin from that "other" Camelback message board has been there, and raved about it. I bet it gets a crowd of college students from Cornell though, eh?
