  1. If anything a drive north in April. We'll see. I have no idea. My window to go west this year was when I was supposed to go next week. That obviously isn't happening. Focused on the summer vacay with the kids in June. Not gonna let the injury affect what I promised them.
  2. You and me both man. Just glad that you are there.
  3. Not sure. Surgery went well. Now working on healing up and gaining range of motion back through physical therapy. That's my focus at this point. I would think that at the earliest late March but I need to be 100% ready. I'm in no way pushing it. I've come to peace with my season being potentially over. If it happens this year, it happens but my goal is to come back stronger and better than ever next year. I know it sounds cliche but that's where I'm at.
  4. So glad you're out there man. Really wish I was there with you.
  5. So sad. My heart goes out to the family. Hate hearing this.
  6. This could be the best Jhole report of all time. nice work fellas
  7. I'm really happy you guys are having a great time. Was just forced to cancel Utah but perhaps next year I can ski Jackson with y'all to make up for this year.
  8. True. If there is any silver lining its if the injury did knock me out for the season at least I got to ski that. Now that the morphine and pain meds have worn off the good news is that I'm in far less pain then I was yesterday. Positive sign I guess. I'm going to do everything I can to get back out there.
  9. SMH. I don't want to diss patrol because they did help me out but wtf. That's pretty frustrating
  10. It took my injury to prompt them to put the sticks up
  11. Today was amazing. Top day in PA for sure. Knee deep easily in spots. Some places deeper Unfortunately it didn't end to well for me. Last run on home stretch, whiteout conditions, didn't see an ice boulder as it was tough to determine the where the trail edge was in home stretch. My skis hit it. I ejected and landed on my shoulder fracturing my humorous bone. Ski patrol carted me down and I ended up at Palmerton hospital. My season may be over by I will do everything I can to keep that from happening. While today was epic and shitty all at the same time, the best part of today was knowing that I could rely on amazing friend who stood by my side from the ski patrol snack, followed the ambulance and sat in the er with me for 3 or 4 hours, then took me home. Jfdan wouldn't want me to post this probably but I am because it's worth mentioning and you all know him. He's been with me through some of the the roughest times in my life... including today and each time (including today) I couldn't have gotten through shit without him. Dan I say this in the most not weird way that I can... I love you my man. Thanks!
  12. Top is kinda windblown and crusty in spots. After the initial headwalls it's heaven all the way back to the quad. Floatation and all! 6 pack seems to be having issues. Lower lot... Think I saw you guys this morning Headed back out shortly
  13. Challenge I would say at least 10 inches. Still falling hard Dan the man and I enjoying a few beers before heading back out
  14. No snow yet here in the Pocono Mountains. In fact we're at this insanely good Thai joint. Who would've thought that a few years ago that one could enjoy a nice Thai meal in the Poconos? We've definitely become posh around here.
  15. Tonight was good. Nice to get back on switchback. I freaking love that trail. Unfortunately however it was chock full of cookies. The headwall on razors was decent. Everything below makes the Girl Scouts of America pale in comparison. Lazy and Paradise were another world. Decent snow on both. Didn't get over to main street. Toast was in the house and has a really sweet picture of conditions on razors this fine evening. Overall it was a fun night.
  16. Nice report. Hoping for switchback tomorrow.
  17. Who from here goes to Montage for the upper mountain? The few t2b runs all the way over on the far side are nice. After that, when I'm there I'm usually sticking to the North Face lift.
  18. Once you meet everyone it's hard to not identify someone. PASRs are always lurking at Blue.
  19. Nice report. Was debating it today but never materialized. Hoping for challenge, NMDDubb, switch by Thursday.
