That's the beauty of the west. You can go from nice, comfortable temps in one spot and be on the snow / feel like winter in a few hours by car. Here in the NE if it's cold in the mountains it's cold everywhere.

According to Google maps it's about 210 miles from here...Belle is about 80 miles closer. Hunter 35 miles closer.. Time wise it's not as far off since blue knob is mostly cruising on 80.

That reminds me of the travesty that was NMDW last year. I have nothing against parks...just not on that trail. Hoping that doesn't happen again this year.
