  1. what kind of law does he practice?
  2. haha no problem, my fault as well. i thought i recognized you from the "people you may know" on facebook lol
  3. I got second civilian chair and rode from 8:30 to 11:00. Great day and I thought conditions were enjoyable. However, I have never seen a mid week non holiday morning this crowded at blue before. 6 pack line went back to the scanners at 10:45.
  4. last year i skiied blue and spring on the same day. i plan on doing it this season as well
  5. i took a criminal justice class in college and the professor was the actual head of the NYPD's legal department. their justificaition (as he told us) is that the undercovers place the wallet near a cop, token booth, etc and watch the person who picked up the wallet. if they walk by the token booth or cop without stopping and giving them the wallet, they wait til the person leaves the station. while this is going on, they radio up to the uniformed cops on the street who make the arrest when the person comes up the stairs. their justification is that they give the people an opportunity to turn the wallet into a cop, token booth clerk, etc. if that person leaves the station with the wallet, they assume they are stealing it.
  6. the crazy thing is in the article, the cops are actually bragging about arresting people and throwing them in jail, despite those people having no idea they were doing anything wrong. pretty much a perfect representation of police officers in America
  7. Here is Operation Lucky Bag, where NYPD puts wallets in subway stations, then immediately arrests anyone who picks it up. They also put AMEX cards under fictious NYPD names. That credit card in the wallet turns a petite larceny (minor misdeamnor) into a felony. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/man-picks-wallet-feels-discriminated-cops-article-1.273930
  8. i believe the police claimed the $20 belonged to the women in the slot machine next to where it was on the ground
  9. a year ago I was at the casino walking out and I saw a $20 bill on the ground. i did the smart thing and left it there, cause i knew if i picked it up, sercurity would be waitiung for me at the front door. sure enought, a few days later on the news, I see that someone was arrested for picking up that exact same $20 bill at the exact time I had been there. same shit happened at Grand Central terminal in NYC. i saw a pink wallet in the stair case. my ex went to pick it up and i immediately grabbed her and told her not to cause NYPD was watching. sure enough a few days later im reading the Crime Blotter in the NY Post, and what do you know...a Swedish tourist was arrested and hit with a felony for picking up a pink wallet in the staircase on the same exact day I was there.
  10. ya, i found a $20 with mattedge on switchback last year. ive found $50 bills on multiple occasions, but never a $100.
  11. i read an article last week about how Dollar General is making crazy money and doing huge expansions in very rural areas. i always considered Dollar General a beacon for white trash, similar to how the bat symbol is a beacon for batman. however, the one across the street from my work is in a pretty urban area with a diverse array of trashy people. the article was stating that they are so successful because they have walmart pricing but more towards individual items instead of bulk items. i can relate, cause sometimes if i need something at 7:00pm to hold me over til i get home at 10:00pm, i walk over and get a personal pan pizza, a microvable ramen bowl that could probably hold a gallon of water (seriously, its huge), and a container of easy mac for a grand total of $3. the article also stated while dollar general is for lower income rural people, Dollar Tree is for lower income urban people.
  12. dont blame me, blame the guy who designed it. i click on "activity" and post in whatever is the most appropriate topic shown on the page. im not gonna go out of my way to search for a thread, thats crazy
  13. this new site design makes thread jacking alot easier, cause i usally just post in whatever shows up in the activity log. im not gonna actually phsycially go into the blue forum, then select a thread as well. that takes way too much time
