i no longer care about people not riding boulder early season, and id rather be at blue, but is there really that much of a difference between vista and BB? vista is steeper than freedom but tannenbaum is arguably steeper than vista.

opening for 2 days and then shutting down for 3 weeks doesnt count. thats like BB saying their season lasts til mid may cause of May day, even though they've been closed for a month when may day starts.

my confidence about blue opening this weekend is based upon other mountains already announcing openings and blue opening based upon other competition. however, i have to remember 2 seasons ago Spring Mountain beat everyone in PA to opening other than JFBB

your bumming me out lol, i rode yesterday under the assumption that it would be my only BB early season day. i still would find it hard to believe montage opens before blue, but we shall see.

Ride from 240-510 for a total of 12 runs. Liftlines were awful on tannembaum the first hour and only got in 3 runs. Next hour and a half got 9 runs in. Did my final 5 runs on freedom cause liftlune was a lot shorter. Chilled with POC in the liftlune and lift ride who was there with his daughters. Nice snow and they prob could have had more open. Parking lot was like 85% full when I got there. Had a nice time and glad I went

this is a good point, i should stop there after blue one of these days. i feel like you would enjoy waffle house...i think you go to diners a lot. the allentown one is similar to the lancaster one...its too nice and not ratchet enough to be a real waffle house.

since we got 5 inches around here, people think everywhere in the poconos got 5 feet. the same people who are usually shocked im snowboarding in november are now asking me why i havent ridden yet this winter

i think montage posted 10 inches on their site. if no blue next week but CB opens, ill got to CB. if no blue or cb but montage, ill have a decision to make. i really dont wanna drive the extra distance for a limited montage (i like montage when northface is open), but anything there will be more vert than BB

if blue doesnt open, i dont see montage opening and definetly not camelback. i havent checked the temps for those 2 places but blue certainly has better snowmaking than montage and more heart to open then CB

more often than not on sunday mornings, i see the west chester crew on the northeast extension. they take a back route when they get off and come out around the whitehall wawa. usually we can stop in wawa, get our stuff, and leave seeing them just pulling up. sometimes ill see jlaw or matt edge on the northeast extension as well
